CBSE 2026 Special Exams: Schools to Submit LOC for West Asia Students from September 22

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the process for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) and examination forms for the Class 12 Special Examinations 2026 for eligible students in West Asian countries.

Eligible regular and private candidates will be able to submit their LOC or examination forms from September 22 to September 26, 2026. CBSE has stated that no examination fee will be charged from eligible candidates for these special examinations.

The special exams will be conducted for Class 12 students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The examinations are being arranged because the regular Class 12 board examinations could not be conducted in these countries earlier due to the prevailing situation.

Why Is CBSE Conducting Class 12 Special Exams 2026?

CBSE introduced an Assessment Scheme on March 27, 2026, to declare the results of students whose examinations were cancelled in the affected West Asian countries.

The results of regular students were announced on May 13, 2026, along with the results of other Class 12 candidates. Results for private candidates were also processed under the same Assessment Scheme.

Subsequently, following the Supreme Court judgment in CWP-815 of 2026, CBSE conducted special examinations in 40 subjects for eligible Class 12 students.

Who Is Eligible for CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026?

  • They should be studying in CBSE-affiliated schools located in the affected West Asian countries.

  • Their LOC must have been submitted for the Main Examination 2026.
