KAYOU, a collectible trading card company, has announced a new licensing partnership with Rainbow to launch an officially licensed Winx Club trading card collection at retail in the U.S. and Europe in October.

The launch marks the latest expansion of the Winx Club franchise, which is enjoying renewed momentum following the new series in CGI, "Winx Club: The Magic Is Back," and the continued growth of its consumer products program. Designed for both long-time fans and a new generation of collectors, the premium trading card range will feature exclusive artwork, story-led content and collectible rarities inspired by Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna, Aisha and the magical world of Alfea. The collection has been developed to appeal to the growing demand for anime, entertainment and lifestyle collectibles, while introducing more girls and young collectors to the trading card category.

Celebrating 22 years of "Winx Club," the trading card collection will also introduce exclusive new content created specifically for the trading card series, creating a new collecting experience for fans. The partnership forms part of KAYOU's expanding portfolio of globally recognized entertainment brands as the company continues to invest in premium licensed collectibles, innovative card formats and accessories that allow fans to collect, display and engage with their favorite franchises in new ways.

The collaboration was unveiled during San Diego Comic-Con, where KAYOU showcased exclusive promotional cards featuring central character Bloom. The announcement comes as Rainbow continues to expand the Winx Club franchise across content, digital platforms, consumer products and retail. Alongside the launch of new episodes of "Winx Club: The Magic Is Back," the company has recently debuted the franchise's complete music catalog on global streaming platforms, further strengthening engagement with fans worldwide. The KAYOU x Winx Club trading card collection will launch globally at retail in October. Additional collectibles will follow shortly afterward.

SkyShowtime Reveals Trailer and Local Voice Casts for Its First Animated Original Series 'Hidden Islands', Premiering Exclusively on Platform From 5 December In Northern Europe

SkyShowtime reveals trailer and local voice casts for its first animated original series Hidden Islands, premiering exclusively on platform from 5 December in Northern Europe

Fun-filled trailer teases heartwarming series from creators Madeleine Bernadotte and Karini Gustafson-Teixeira

SkyShowtime

Today SkyShowtime released the enchanting trailer and announced the local voice casts for its new family adventure series Hidden Islands. Following a growing catalogue of well-received original series and documentaries, Hidden Islands marks SkyShowtime’s first foray into animation and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, with the series premiering exclusively on the platform in Northern Europe from 5 December.

Consisting of 20 seven-minute episodes brought to life by an award-winning team with extensive experience in children’s animation, the series will have local voice casts for Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.*

Hidden Islands tells the story of three children who end up on a mythical group of islands and soon realise that this is no ordinary place: the islands are slightly out of sync with the rest of the world, and they hold a big secret - a secret that will change their lives and which could save the world! The three children must use all their wit and work together as a team with nature to find hidden clues that can help them unravel the mystery and get back home.

The series is created by duo Madeleine Bernadotte and Karini Gustafson-Teixeira, who previously co-wrote children’s book Stella and the Secret. Through Hidden Islands, the pair hope to encourage children to explore nature and connect with the outside world in an organic and meaningful way.

The animated series is produced by OYA Copenhagen, the creative studio producer behind Mia’s Magical Playground, with executive producers Camilla Hammer and Sarita Christensen. The series is directed by Peter Egeberg and written by Myles McLeod, Evgenia Golubeva, and Pelle Møller. Design by art director Julie Hauge and designer Bea Estevez. Sound design by Morten Dalsgaard. The score was composed by August Fenger, also known as ELOQ.

Hidden Islands is produced with support from The Public Service Fund in Denmark. Development financing was provided by Midnight Sun in Sweden, with production financing from OYA Copenhagen in Denmark.

Hidden Islands joins the growing library of family favourites available to stream on SkyShowtime including How to Train Your Dragon (2025), The Bad Guys 2, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, Paw Patrol S1-13 and Wicked: For Good.

Eric Bauza, Celebrated Voice Actor of Many Iconic Characters, Passes Away at 46

Eric Bauza, an Emmy-winning voice actor who was the modern voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Looney Tunes characters, has sadly passed away. He was 46.

The news was announced Sunday, October 25 by his family via a post on his Instagram feed, which has since been removed. “Eric Bauza, Emmy Award-winning voice actor and the modern voice of iconic Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, along with dozens of other beloved cartoon characters, has passed away suddenly. More details to come,” the post read.

According to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records, the celebrated voice actor died at his home over the weekend from hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

It’s unclear when he died, but he was scheduled to attend the premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s The Cat in the Hat on Sunday afternoon to support Daffy Season, a short that plays before the film, according to press documents.

Channing Dungey, chairman of Warner Bros. Television Group and U.S. Networks, paid tribute to Bauza in a statement.

“Eric Bauza was a unique voice talent who brought joy and laughter to millions around the world. During his 15 years at Warner Bros. Animation,” she said. “He was the voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck among countless other characters. He followed in the footsteps of giants like Mel Blanc. Eric said that carrying on the legendary legacy of the Looney Tunes was among the greatest honors of his life. In addition to his incredible talent, Eric was a treasured part of our animation family. Our hearts go out to his loved ones.”

Bauza recently landed on The Hollywood Reporter’s inaugural Animation Power list and attended the corresponding event honoring those on the list. “Bauza has quietly become the voice of an entire cartoon universe,” THR’s Scott Roxborough wrote of the voice actor. “One of the successors to the legendary Mel Blanc as the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian and a dozen more iconic characters, the Canadian actor outdid himself with Coyote vs. Acme, voicing everything from Bugs Bunny to Foghorn Leghorn and Tweety Bird.”

“A lot of talented folks worked really hard to make this film, and to be able to see it celebrated by so many people across the globe has really made the wait worth it,” Bauza said of the movie.

In the Looney Tunes film Coyote vs. Acme, which was released earlier this year, Bauza voiced several roles, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Porky Pig, Road Runner, Charlie the Dog, and more. Most of those roles, of course, originated with the late, legendary Mel Blanc. Bauza also brought several Looney Tunes characters to life in such productions as Space Jam: A New Legacy (voicing Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd and Marvin the Martian) and Looney Tunes Cartoons (Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck), among others.

Born December 7, 1979, Bauza was from Toronto but more recently was living in Los Angeles.

He started his career in animation as a character designer working with a few production studios in Hollywood, according to his bio on SBV Talent, which represented him.

He received Daytime Emmy, Children’s & Family Emmy and Annie Award nominations for his work as the title character in The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Fozzie in Muppet Babies and Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in Looney Tunes Cartoons.

Recently, he voiced roles in DreamWorks Animation’s animated film Forgotten Island.

His Nickelodeon credits included El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, The Loud House, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012), Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Casagrandes, Breadwinners, The Fairly OddParents, Sanjay and Craig, and DORA.

His other TV credits include Unikitty, Archibald’s Next Big Thing, The Rocketeer, Ballmastrz: 9009, Star vs. The Forces of Evil, Uncle Grandpa, The Powerpuff Girls, Ultimate Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers: Robots in Disguise and Mighty Magiswords.

Bauza has voiced characters in The Book of Life and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Bauza also was Woody Woodpecker in Universal’s animated film Woody Woodpecker.

According to his bio, Bauza has also voiced characters in commercials, including Lucky the Leprechaun for Lucky Charms cereal, Trix Rabbit for Trix cereal and Marvin the Martian for Nike and in the Walmart commercial “Famous Visitors.”

A donation page has been set up to support Eric Bauza’s family following his sudden passing.

The Avatar: Seven Havens team pays tribute to Eric Bauza:

Sehaj Sethi joked that his many roles made him “twenty percent of the population of Seven Havens.”

“We used him because he was so brilliant. He could act against himself. He could do young, old, any voice you could think of… Every single time he was in that booth, he was an absolute delight… He was just the kindest person… It’s just the biggest loss.”

The service is home to the complete collections of SCARY MOVIE, SCREAM, A QUIET PLACE, PET SEMATARY and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY — putting Ghostface, paranormal possessions, creatures with very good hearing and very bad intentions, and nearly every horror trope worth screaming (or laughing) about under one roof.
