Anna Williamson Reunites with 'Camp Orange' UK Contestant Georgia Steel on 'Celebs Go Dating' Season 6 | Nickelodeon UK

British reality television dating programme Celebs Go Dating recently announced season six's new star studded line up, and revealed that Anna Williamson would be replacing Nadia Essex as a dating agent.

The former Nickelodeon UK & Ireland presenter and This Morning & Good Morning Britain (GMB) relationship expert and Paul C Brunson will be helping the likes of Love Island's Georgia Steel, Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, The Only Way Is Essex's Pete Wicks, Megan McKenna, Ibiza Weekender's head rep David Potts, Waterloo Road and and Hollyoaks actor Chelsee Healey to find love.

However, speaking to OK! online, new coach Anna revealed that it wasn't the first time she had met one of the famous faces!

Georgia Steel previously appeared on Nickelodeon show Camp Orange [Nickelodeon]

Confessing that she had previously worked with Love Island star Georgia on Nickelodeon TV show Camp Orange when she was a teenager, Anna said that initially it was strange to see her walking into the agency.

Georgia was part of Team Yorky Corkies in the first series of Camp Orange UK, Nickelodeon's game show in which friends teamed up to take on the ultimate 'bush' challenge (Georgia teamed up with her BFF Elsie Cussons), in 2011. Anna hosted the series Jamie Rickers.

"Georgia’s an interesting one for me, she was actually the first celebrity I met joining the agency," Anna said. "When she walked in I sort of had a bit of an eye roll, like oh my god, here we go.

"I’d known her from a previous show in my kids telly days when she was a fresh faced teenager. She is now all grown up. It's a bit like mumma's come home".

Admitting that her previous working relationship with Georgia meant that she treated her differently from the other stars, Anna continued: "I’m probably even more strict with Georgia, because we go back. She’s a good girl but she’s got some work to do.

She added: "I think Georgia’s brilliant, she’s beautiful and certainly one of the most confident people I’ve ever met. Even when she was 13 confidence was something that was in her bones.

"I think we need to draw out that little soft marshmallow that was inside."

Georgia Steel appeared on the show that Anna Williamson presented [Nickelodeon]

Anna also opened up about her connection to Georgia on social media, as she took to Instagram on her first day at the Celebrity Dating Agency and shared a selfie with the reality starlet.

Posing with her mouth open in disbelief, Anna wrote: "Now THIS is a blast from the past...it feels like only yesterday I was wrangling a 13 year old @geesteelx on @nickelodeonuk #camporange...

"And today we're reunited for @celebsgodating where I'll be helping guide this now young lady in love #blastfromthepast #ifeelold".

Discussing how excited she was to be guiding Georgia and the rest of the stars in their quest for love, Anna added to OK! online: "To be able to get the call and come on board with Celebs Go Dating was a dream come true. I’m so, so honoured.

"I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet, because it’s a big show and people have a lot of love for it. I just really want to do the show and the viewers justice."

Celebs Go Dating series six is slated to premiere on E4 in 2019. Previous contestants on the show include Diversity crew member and fellow Nickelodeon UK presenter Perri Kiely. Mottingham comedian Rob Beckett narrates.

Georgia appeared on the 2018 series of Love Island with another Nickelodeon star: Eyal Booker, one of the models in Nickelodeon UK & Ireland's Nick@Nite idents!:

The Northampton Chronicle And Echo Interviews Nickelodeon UK Presenter Anna Williamson

Below is a interview with Nickelodeon UK and Ireland presenter Anna Williamson (Nickelodeon UK's "Camp Orange", "Jamie's & Anna's Big Weekend", "UPick Summer") from the Northampton Chronicle & Echo:
Star Interview: Anna Williamson

Vivacious television presenter Anna Williamson has amassed many strings to her bow over her many years in front of the camera. She is recognisable from her roles on GMTV's Toonattik and Action Stations!, Milkshake! on Channel Five, and roles on Nickelodeon and as an entertainment reporter for GMTV. But lesser known facts about Anna include that she gives up her spare time to man the phone lines at Childline and is a panto veteran, with this year marking a decade since her panto debut. “Panto is such a fantastic experience, because it is quite often the first piece of theatre that children will see and I am a huge advocator of panto as an art form,” says Anna, who is set to take to the stage as Cinderella in this year's pantomime at Milton Keynes Theatre. “It’s my tenth one and genuinely I am so pleased that it is Cinderella. “Playing Cinderella I think is every little girl's dream and that's why I like playing her, because it makes it all worth while when you see a little girl in the audience and they are just completely sold with the story, and that’s why I love live theatre.” And working with kids is something Anna rates with great importance. “I love working with kids and I feel very privileged to have been a children’s presenter for over 10 years now, having worked on most of the children’s networks and continuing to do so. “Children’s audiences are so important and for any television audience it starts with the kids. They are our next generation of adults so I think to be able to inspire and entertain and educate youngsters is a real privilege.” But working on children’s television was not the first entertainment career Anna embarked on. “I actually started out in an all-girl band when I was 16 and through that I had a few opportunities, as you do in bands, to do some TV appearances and children’s TV was a really good vehicle for that to promote bands. “So I went on quite a lot of them and just really enjoyed the whole fun aspect of children’s television. “So when an opportunity came up to do some children’s television presenting I grabbed it with both hands. “I’m really lucky because I have had lots of career highs. I mean breaking entertainment stories as an entertainment journalist, I remember breaking that story that Cheryl Cole had been fired from the X-Factor in America. That was quite exciting because we were the first network to vocalise it on screen. “Another one was last year I was in pantomime in Wimbledon, with the very great Dame Edna Everage, and working and living practically along with Barry/ Dame Edna for a couple of months was terrific. “He’s a complete industry legend and I learned a lot from him, I was completely in awe of the man and I am pleased to say he is a bit like a surrogate granddad.” But when Anna is not entertaining, she still dedicates her time to the younger generation. “My other passion is I am a ChildLine Counsellor. Every week I take to the phones and I try and listen to the young people. “I wanted to join, I am a trained counsellor anyway, but I knew Esther Rantzen very well and I wanted to join her campaign to promote ChildLine, and to be able to get under the skin of ChildLine, and to talk about it knowledgeably, I had to actually be one of their volunteer counsellors. “So I made the decision to do the 12 week training, and six months ago I qualified as a counsellor, and I now counsel over the phone.” Anna will be in Cinderella at Milton Keynes Theatre until Sunday, January 6 for tickets visit: www.atgtickets.com.

REVIEW: Kev Orkian talks Cinderella at MK Theatre
Cinderella at Milton Keynes Theatre: From the left; Deniece Pearson, Louis Spence, Anna Williamson and Kev Orkian
Just when you thought panto couldn’t get any camper, Louie Spence twirled onto the stage and with a shimmy here, there and everywhere he certainly brought the traditional Cinderella into the 21st century this Christmas, writes Amanda Devlin. The big star not only had my belly aching from laughter, but he brought a tear to my eye with his suggestiveness that somehow managed to drift over all the young minds in the audience, who stared wide-eyed at his hilarious portrayal of wedding planner Dandini. Buttons, who was superbly played by comedian Kev Orkian, spoke to me after the show about his love for Milton Keynes theatre and his fellow cast members. Kev said: “It is amazing to come to Milton Keynes and get that kind of reaction. There was quite a pressure on press night and to make the children laugh and have a good time, but it was a really good feeling. “I am really excited about it, it is great to be in MK, it is one of the most brilliant pantos in the country. It is Christmas time, so it’s great to have that energy from the audience. “I have never worked on a production where every individual is incredible. I am so lucky to be a part of it.” Alongside Kev and Louis, Fairy Godmother Deniece Pearson stood out from the crowd as she delivered an incredible performance throughout. She really was a cut above the rest when it came to belting out the high notes and blowing everyone away with her love for singing. So with all these big stars it was inevitable that this year’s MK panto would be a magical evening for all of the family. But what was it like working with self-confessed diva Louis Spence? Kev said: “He is just an energy entity. He is like a firework that has been let off. The energy he brings to the stage is fantastic.” However, quite clearly Kev’s leading lady remains to be Anna Williamson, a former nickelodeon and CITV presenter who looked at home on stage alongside the handsome Prince Charming, Andrew Derbyshire. Kev added: “To top it all off I have my Cinderella, with who I have developed a kind of brother sister relationship with since we met doing panto before. We have been in contact ever since and meet up with our other halves for dinner. “So when reviewers have said that we have that kind of family relationship on stage, they are spot on. We have got that chemistry, so I’m really pleased to be back with her.” Make sure you don’t miss out on taking the whole family to experience a night of glitter and sparkle with a gangnam style introduction and seriously impressive high-kicks from Louis. Cinderella is running at Milton Keynes Theatre until January 6. Cinderella – Malvern Theatre

★★★★ [4 out of 5 Stars]

By Helen and Garry McWilliams

The magic of panto and indeed one of the best fairy tales ever written (in our opinion) was brought to life in Malvern, last night.

With its mixture of past, current and some original music, two live Shetland ponies and ten costume changes a piece for the Ugly Sisters – this was a production of Cinderella that undoubtedly had it all.

The glamorous ‘Fairy Godmother’ was played by the ever popular Ruth Madoc. Fresh out of Calendar Girls and back in pantomime after a three year break , she was a ‘matriarch’ to be treasured and ably raised the roof with the enthusiastic audience members within the first few minutes.

‘Hi-5’ presenter Emma Nowell played the title role with sweet gentility and she has an amazing singing voice. Coupled with Owen Thompson’s ‘Prince Charming’ who by all accounts likes to get down ‘Gangnam Style’(!) they were a leading pair of an extremely high standard.

Comedy was there in abundance from the Ugly Sisters: Gaga (Bobbie Kent) and Gertie (Anthony West) the latter unwittingly chose Garry to be his ‘love interest’ throughout the performance, much to Garry’s delight! We only hope that Gertie’s boyfriends are all as interactive… The programme mentions that they have received the accolade of ‘possibly being the best Ugly Sisters in the business’ – we wouldn’t argue with that. They have wonderful chemistry and any pantomime company would be lucky to have them.

Don Crann also entertained as ‘Baron Hardup’ with a dry and quick wit.

Having watched and appeared in a number of pantomimes between us in the past, this was the first time we had seen ‘Dandini’ portrayed as a comedy character part. It worked brilliantly and Bobby Windebank who took the role is one to watch out for. A special mention must go to the rendition of ‘Me and My Shadow’ with ‘Prince Charming’ and it appears that ‘Dandini’ also goes in for a spot of ‘Gangnam Style’!

The set was impressive, all that we would expect from pantomime scenery with a beautiful coach for Cinderella’s journey to the Ball. Isn’t it amazing what one can do with a pumpkin? Pulling the coach were two white Shetland Ponies who stole the show during their cameo appearance.

We particularly liked the finale song choice of ‘Love is in the Air’, one of the last songs we expected to hear, yet one of the most apt for the story. We feel that the Director, Scott Richie has put together a happy team who have delivered the magical experience that ‘kids’ of all ages appreciate and we would be keen to see his work again in the future.

“Have we missed anybody out? Who? Buttons? No, we mentioned him didn’t we?!” - Jamie Rickers from ‘Nickelodeon’ is the best ‘Button’s that we have ever had the pleasure of watching. He is pure comedy genius and a fantastic all-round entertainer. Need we say more?

Cinderella runs at the Malvern Theatre until Sunday 6th January 2013, for more information or to book tickets please visit the website www.malverntheatres.co.uk. This is a pantomime not to be missed.

Milton Keynes Theatre's 2012 Pantomime Has Something For Everyone, Starring Nickelodeon UK Presenter Anna Williamson As 'Cinderella'

From the Buckingham Advertiser:
Panto has something for everyone

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than a family night out at the panto?

I would definitely recommend a trip to Milton Keynes Theatre to see their magical Cinderella. You’re guaranteed to have a ball!

Starring an array of TV personalities, the show had something for everyone – clever slapstick, beautiful song and dance numbers, colourful sets, stunning costumes, silly jokes for kids and sly ones for adults.

Anna Williamson from Daybreak and Nickelodeon was a beautiful Cinderella, the flamboyant and energetic Louie Spence from Pineapple Dance Studio was Dandini, ’80s pop star Deniece Pearson from Five Star was a gorgeous Fairy Godmother, but my kids’ favourite of the evening was the hilariously funny, quick-witted comedy star Kev Orkian as Buttons.

Have A Ball At UK's Milton Keynes Theatre's 2012 Pantomime, Starring Nickelodeon UK Presenter Anna Williamson As 'Cinderella'

From Luton Today:
Have a ball with Cinders and Louie

Louie Spence stars with Anna Williamson as Cinderella with Kev Orkian as Buttons and Deniece Pearson as Fairy Godmother in Cinderella at Milton Keynes Theatre

Get ready to have a ball this Christmas as TV personality and dazzling dancer Louie Spence takes to the stage in the classic pantomime Cinderella.

The festive show at Milton Keynes Theatre features more sparkle than you can shake a glitter-ball at, and is set to be a spectacular show for all the family.

Along with Louie’s dancing Dandini, Cinderella features a handsome Prince, enchanting Fairy Godmother, the Ugly Sisters and of course, Buttons.

Louie said: “It’s a real spectacular. The equivalent of anything you’d see in the West End. The costumes, the set, the cast, the choreography – there’s some great dance numbers in it – it’s a great family show. Cinderella is the very best panto that there is.

“In this particular version of Cinderella Dandini has a little bit of a twist on him. He’s just a little bit more over the top looking after the prince! I have a fantastic costume to wear. It’s like pink and sparkly and lots of glitter!”

With a sprinkling of magic from the Fairy Godmother, will Cinderella beat the clock and find the happy ending she deserves? You’ll have to wait until the clock strikes midnight to find out!

Cinderella also stars Five Star's Deniece Pearson, Anna Williamson (CITV and Nickelodeon presenter) as Cinders and comedian Kevin Orkian as Buttons. Running from December 7 until January 6.

Oh Yes It Is – Nearly Pantomime Season At UK's Milton Keynes Theatre, Starring Nickelodeon UK Presenter Anna Williamson As Cinderella

From Biggleswade Today:
Oh yes it is – nearly pantomime season

A penniless drudge is scrubbing away for her stepmother and stepsisters – who happen to be rather lacking in the looks department.

It is, of course, Cinderella and thankfully we all know that her lot in life is about to improve.

This time the future princess’ story is being portrayed as Milton Keynes Theatre’s seasonal pantomime.

Deniece Pearson, who first rose to fame as an 80s pop icon, will step into the role of the Fairy Godmother.

Deniece is a Grammy nominee and lead singer with the pop super-group, Five Star, who had an unprecedented chart run of over 20 top 30 UK singles and were the youngest group ever to win a Brit Award, youngest black British group to have a number one album and the first group to achieve seven consecutive hit singles from one album in the UK.

This success was mirrored not only in Europe but also in the US pop, r&b and dance charts. Deniece also writes and produces for other artists.

She could recently be seen in a show-stopping run in the hit West End in new musical Thriller Live and the stage show Respect La Diva and she has just released her stunning debut solo single, the self-penned ballad Here I Am.

In March she appeared on BBC talent show, The Voice UK, as a contestant joining Tom Jones' team.

Anna Williamson, of Daybreak and Nickelodeon, will play Cinderella while comedy star, Kev Orkian, will be Buttons.

John Barr and Paul Burnham will take the roles of the Ugly Sisters.

Cinderella is showing at Milton Keynes Theatre from Friday, December 7 to Saturday, January 6. Performances are in the afternoon and evening but exact times vary. For the full list of timings call the theatre or visit www.atgtickets.com/shows/cinderella/milton-keynes-theatre

Tickets cost from £12 to £27 plus a booking fee. They are available online or from the box office on 08448 717652.

IPTV News Interviews David Lynn, MD And EVP Of VIMN UK, Australia And Eastern Europe And International Content Distribution, On How Viacom Brands Are Leveraging Social Media Tools To Engage More Effectively With Audiences

From IPTV News:
Viacom: “We see OTT as an opportunity to significantly amplify conversations”

David Lynn, MD [Managing Director] & EVP [Executive Vice President] of Viacom International Media Networks UK, Australia and Eastern Europe and International Content Distribution, on how Viacom brands are leveraging social media tools to engage with more effectively with audiences, and how these will be put into action during the 2012 European Music Awards in November.

How is MTV using viewers' growing familiarity with social media to engage with them more effectively?

Each of the Viacom brands engages in a constant dialogue with our audiences through multiple platforms, which informs our content and the way we extend viewing experiences across social media.

What is most exciting for us is that as technology develops, so do the opportunities for interactive experiences to deepen relationships with audiences. This is particularly true for the millennials watching and engaging with MTV, especially since they are the audience that expects to connect to people while watching TV and be actively heard.

They’re demanding it so we’re delivering it, and making their connection that much richer. With UK figures stating that 80% of under 25s are using a mobile device to communicate with friends while watching TV and 72% are using Twitter, Facebook or mobile applications to comment on shows, we’re focused on providing the ‘power to participate’ and provide a seamless link between content on devices and content on the screen.

We see this link growing around several properties on MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central as well as our other brands, which tells us that the more we invest and learn about our audiences and their tech habits, the better we’re equipped to develop multi platform content that enriches their experiences.

How is your multiscreen engagement strategy evolving?

Viacom is a pure-play content company, so making great brands, shows and characters is what we do best. Those brands include MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, and more, which can be seen in more than 600 million households in 160+ countries, across more than 500 digital properties.

We feel this is a great time to be in the content industry as availability, quality and quantity of our content are what fuel the success of new distributor options. From our perspective, it’s important to work hand in hand with both existing and new partners to both innovate and enhance the viewer experience.

We don't engineer the technology – we're serving the audiences who are driving the adoption of it. We evolve as they do, remembering that content is the essential ingredient to multi-platform engagement.

A great example to point to is the MTV EMA, our annual European awards event. We constantly push the envelope to enhance the multi-platform experience and leverage our relationship with talent to create content that complements what viewers are seeing on the television.

In 2010 we had Justin Bieber serve as the Digital Host, and in 2011 had Selena Gomez serve as both the main show host and the digital host. Between the two of them, you're talking to 40+ million Twitter followers.

The 2011 EMA was our most watched ever with more than 39 million viewers tuning in to MTV and VIVA channels around the world, and we saw a +29% increase in unique visitors to the EMA website on the day of the show.

Fans were watching, tweeting, posting and sharing in record numbers throughout – so the bar has been raised this year. I’ll be at the OTTtv World Summit the week prior to the 2012 EMAs, so will tell attendees more about our plans in November.

What strengths do over-the-top (OTT) services have when it comes to integrating social media?

As the technology evolves, so too do the opportunities for incredibly interactive experiences that deepen the relationships we have with our audiences. We see OTT as an opportunity to significantly amplify conversations as well as audience connections around content.

For example, we’ve developed tools such as the “Under The Thumb” app which provides a platform for viewers to engage in a real-time conversation about their favourite MTV shows, as well as access exclusive content available via their mobile.

We’ve also had over 10,000 downloads of the “Geordie Shore” tweet tracker app, a destination that connects viewers and the cast of what’s become the highest rated show in MTV UK’s history.

How do you plan to encourage the youth demographic to engage more with MTV content?

For a company like Viacom, our brands, shows and stars are living at the intersection of entertainment and social media. Developing new ways to boost engagement levels is a key element of our focus, and to do this effectively we are constantly in touch with how our audience’s tech habits are evolving.

To amplify their conversation is a key part of keeping the engagement levels high, but it always comes back to great content that people want to talk about. That can come in the form of Beyoncé announcing her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards or the antics of the cast of “The Valleys,” MTV UK’s newest reality show.

Keeping a close eye on the intersection of social media and entertainment is key.

We’re also seeing kids interact with programming a lot more. It’s inherent to them so we’re focused on providing the platforms that parents can trust and which enable kids to feel closer to their favourite shows.

Nick UK’s “Camp Orange: The Lost Kingdom” extends the viewing experience online, giving kids the chance to vote for their favourite competitors and access behind-the-scenes content and more. Within 24 hours of the August 12 premiere, we saw over 33,000 votes come in – a figure that jumped to over 230,000 within ten days.

Without question, social media applications and extensions are an inherent part of any launch strategy and are giving us more opportunity to engage and create buzz around our properties. As we keep the dialogue with our audiences flowing, the question for us isn’t so much “what now?” but “what’s next?”

The Hull Daily Mail Interviews Nickelodeon UK Presenter Anna Williamson

From the Hull Daily Mail via This is Hull and East Riding:
'Sometimes, all children want is a platform to talk about their feelings'

She is the bright and perky face of Nickelodeon and CiTV and has been performing on stage and screen since her early teens.

But Anna Williamson faced her own dark times when she started experiencing panic attacks.

"It was 2005 and I developed this panic disorder," said Anna, in a rare break from a hectic interview schedule.

"As a result I went to see a counsellor – and it worked. I could see the benefits of talking therapies and it resonated with me for years after."

Having been in the business of entertaining children for ten years – she is a Daybreak correspondent and entertainment reporter for Digital Spy, as well as presenting on the hugely popular Nickelodeon and CiTV – Anna felt well-placed to be able to "give something back", as she put it.

"Being around kids for a long time, I know it's not an easy life for them out there.

"There are some extreme cases but, sometimes, all kids want is a platform to talk about their feelings. They want to ask questions about the things they are thinking about."

So, since January, Anna has been volunteering with the national children's helpline, ChildLine – founded by Esther Rantzen – something she considers her biggest challenge to date.

"I work on the phones every week," she said. "I'm making my shifts fit in with my other commitments.

"I want to make a difference and I think it's like everything, I'm just chipping away.

"You do feel you are doing your bit. I like to think the young people I have talked to feel better and I have helped them to come up with a solution.

"I think my ChildLine work is going to continue to be very challenging, fun and rewarding."

In addition to her television and stage career, Anna gained a diploma in counselling in 2009.

A keen charity supporter and volunteer, she is very proud of her ambassador role for The Prince's Trust and The Young Variety Club.

Her gritty determination saw her complete the London Marathon in 4hrs 45mins, all in the name of charity – an achievement she is particularly proud of as she was still recovering from a recently broken ankle.

You also can't mention Anna Williamson without mentioning pantomime – she is a huge fan of the theatre genre and has played every role going in her ten years treading the boards.

"To say I love the camp-ness of it all is an understatement," said Anna, who is North London-born and now lives in Hertfordshire. "I'm Cinderella in Milton Keynes this Christmas.

"There are lots of things going on. I'm doing a show this month with Nickelodeon called Camp Orange (the hit show is in its second series) and I've got Skillicious with CiTV running at the moment.

"I've got my entertainment journalism going on with Digital Spy (it allows Anna to do what she loves most, stalking the red carpets, chatting up A-list stars and reporting back to her legions of fans)."

Anna said she makes sure she gets some downtime and there is nothing she likes better than tramping the countryside around her home in her wellies.

"My home isn't anything special, but the country estate that I live on the edge of, is.

"It makes a complete change from my work life, which can be fast-paced, glamorous and quite materialistic."

So are children of her own on Anna's horizon at all?

"Oh, I hope so, and not in the too-distant future," she said. "My boyfriend has a 13-year-old daughter and she comes down, we have a really good relationship."

Nickelodeon's Adventure Reality Show For Best Friends, "Camp Orange", A Hit For Nickelodeon UK And Nickelodeon Australia & New Zealand

From Blog.Viacom, the official blog of Viacom Inc., who is the parent company of the Nickelodeon brand:
Nickelodeon's 'Camp Orange' a hit in UK, Australia

by Todd Phillips, Viacom International Media Networks

Originally launched in Australia, Nickelodeon's Camp Orange, the kids-only, reality competition series, is now entertaining kids in the UK for a second season. And in addition to crossing borders, the show is also breaking ratings records. It's a prime example of what Viacom International Media Networks President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Bakish calls "glocal" content – programming that strikes the right balance between local and international elements, and thus can enjoy success in markets where it's transported.

In Australia, Camp Orange recently concluded its eighth season as the network's most watched Camp Orange episode ever, with hosts and ASTRA award winners Luke & Wyatt [Luke Ryan & Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd] joined this year by celebrity guest host and iCarly star Jennette McCurdy. Season 8, titled Camp Orange: Girls V Boys, premiered on Nickelodeon Australia on June 26 and was the #1 program on subscription television during its timeslot, capturing a 32.7% share among kids 5-12 and a 5.7% share of all subscription television viewers. The strong debut marked a 86% increase over last season’s premiere, and placed the episode as the highest rated premiere in the series’ eight-year history. As competition heated up throughout the five-episode season, so did audience figures, with the finale going down in history as the channel’s highest rated episode of Camp Orange ever, up 48% on last season's finale and 56% on the prior week's episode. The finale became the third most watched program on all of subscription television for the day, with only Nickelodeon's iCarly and Aussie rules football beating it to the #1 position.

Hot on the heels of the franchise's success in Australia, the UK-produced format of the series is also generating success for Nickelodeon UK, where the second season of Camp Orange: The Lost Kingdom premiered on August 12 and attracted audience numbers that placed Nickelodeon as the #2 children’s channel in the country. Ratings have also increased between the premiere and episode two. Presented by Jamie Rickers and Anna Williamson with former Olympian Denise Lewis serving as the Games Master, the new season sees four teams of best friends take on the wilds of Aviemore, Scotland. In addition to confronting freezing lakes, buckets of slime and the creepiest of crawlies, the best friends will learn that teamwork and cooperation are vital for success within the Lost Kingdom. Online, where audiences can vote for which team should be named “Champ Orange,” viewers submitted more than 33,000 votes within the first 24 hours of the premiere episode being broadcast – a number that’s since jumped to 230,000 votes. And Camp Orange's success goes beyond ratings: with more than 6,000 competition entries online, people not only want to watch the show, they want to be a part of it.

Meet And Greet Nickelodeon UK Presenter Anna Williamson At Bridgnorth Children's Festival In Shropshire, UK On Sunday 26th August 2012!

From the Shropshire Star:
TV's Anna to the rescue for Bridgnorth Children's Festival

Organisers of Bridgnorth Children's Festival say they have avoided 'a potential disaster' after the star attraction was forced to pull out.

Children's TV host Anna Williamson
With just two weeks to go before the popular event, children's favourites and headline act The Bopps unexpectedly cancelled their appearance. But organisers rallied to book TV presenter Anna Williamson, best known for hosting [Nickelodeon UK's "Camp Orange" and] GMTV's Toonattik, to take their place.

Festival activities director Mark Gibbons said he had been desperate to find a suitable replacement.

He said: “When I was contacted by The Bopps, I have to admit I did panic, but I didn’t want any children looking forward to seeing someone from TV to miss out.

"Anna Williamson is best known for hosting Toonattik. She is instantly recognisable and extremely popular and, fortunately, she is able to come to Bridgnorth on August 26."

Miss Williamson will make two appearances at Entertainments Zone in The Castle Hall at 2pm and 4pm, before Disco Daddy closes the festival at 5pm.

Having started out on the Disney Channel, she is now a presenter and reporter on ITV’s Daybreak and alongside her former Toonattik co-host Jamie Rickers on Nickelodeon’s Jamie’s & Anna’s Big Weekend.

She is also an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and the Young Variety Club.

Mr Gibbons said: "Anna is a qualified and practising volunteer counsellor for Childline, a cause she is committed and passionate about, so she will fit in well with the children's festival's values and aims.

"We know lots of children and young people will enjoy seeing her perform and having the opportunity to meet her in person."

The festival takes place on August 26 and will include a free sports zone at Bridgnorth Leisure Centre, arts zone at Castle Hall, gaming zone at The Bridge Bar, under fives zone at Bridgnorth Baptist Church and refreshment zones at St Leonard’s and Bridgnorth Baptist churches

Entry to the festival costs £4 for children, £2 for under fives and £1 for adults accompanying children.

Shropshire's Great Days Out - Bridgnorth Children's Festival

Ben Bentley continues his month-long campaign to highlight the area’s top visitor attractions. Today it’s the turn of Bridgnorth Children's Festival.

Click here for an overview of the great days out campaign and check back each day for the latest idea.

Where is it? Across a series of activity zones at various venues in and around Bridgnorth High Street. The Children’s Festival is on the same day as the Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival and the Bridgnorth Food Fair, so it really does have something for everyone.

When is it? August Bank Holiday, Sunday, August 26, from 11am to 6pm – you can buy wristbands from 10:30am at the Information Zone in the High Street

What is it? Shut the High Street off, because here is a great low-cost, family-focused day out for everyone.

Ever seen granny on a bouncy castle? You could here. Want to try water zorbing? The zorbing ball is back in town to try. And if you have missed out on the Olympics – never mind, have a go on the UK’s biggest Olympic themed mega inflatable assault course.

The annual event includes a fun zone featuring huge bouncy castles, a climbing wall, a mega assault course, and an entertainments zone with roving street performers; Creaky Knee Stories; Magic Russ and circus skills with Simon Roe.

Not forgetting a planned appearance from the TV star of Nickelodeon, GMTV and ITV's Daybreak, Anna Williamson, best known for hosting Toonatik on GMTV. Anna, who was also a member of girl-band Blush, will be performing at the entertainments zone in the Castle Hall.

There is also a sports zone with free fun swimming, martial arts and electric go-karting, an arts zone with hands-on pottery, junk, painting and music workshops.

The gaming zone for kids aged 14 years plus features Xbox and PlayStation competitions and to cap it all there is Bridgnorth’s very own high energy Disco Daddy with an end of Festival disco party, plus a family film showing at the Majestic Cinema where adults with Festival wristbands get in at special prices.

How much is it? Entry to all Activity Zones is by wristband - children £4; Under 5s £2; adults accompanying children £1. Parents and carers must accompany children at all times.

Verdict: You won't find a better day out for all the family to enjoy at such a reasonable cost. Now in its sixth year, this is one of Shropshire and the West Midlands’ top family events.

More information: The Children's Festival website has full details including where to park if you are travelling to Bridgnorth. Log on to the website to download the brochure, activity zone plan and timetable.
