Built in command help / navigation

The manual doesn't cover all the options available through the commands. Basically enter the command into console without options to get help for that command. If the help console text displays a sub-command with [...] behind it, then you can enter everything in-front to get more help for that sub-command.

Script snippet commands (experimental)

  • These script-extension commands are experimental and not set in stone.
  • The commands might even conflict with each other when used at the same time.
  • They often come with a built-in command help, just like the normal HLAE commands.

They are delivered with each HLAE install to the resources/AfxHookSource2/snippets folder, and can be activated by using mirv_script_load. For example by providing a full path to the file:

mirv_script_load "C:\Program Files (x86)\HLAE\resources\AfxHookSource2\snippets\mirv_script_point.js"

OR

Since HLAE 2.187.2 mirv_script_load supports relative path to HLAE snippets folder, for example:

mirv_script_load "mirv_script_point.js"

List of optionally available script snippet commands:

Optional script command Source 2 game support Purpose
mirv_script_aim CS2 Somewhat mimics old mirv_aim commands and can aim at entities by index or static points.
mirv_script_fov CS2 Just use mirv_fov instead actually, maybe we should remove this one :-)
mirv_script_point CS2 Allows using mirv_campath keyframes as reference and applying them to mirv_input (including approximate time).
mirv_script_spec_lock CS2 Locks spec_player on a specfic player.
mirv_script_view CS2 Shows the view and angles stored in demo (or spectated player) for a given entity.
mirv_script_voice CS2 Easier frontend to tv_listen_voice_indices / tv_listen_voice_indices_h. (Allows selecting which player voices can be heard in case they are present in a demo (e.g. FaceIT demos.))
