Enterprise developers can now build, test and deploy customer-facing AI agents on Cresta's platform without vendor hand-holding.

The Gist

  • Developer-native workflow. Conductor runs agents through existing repos and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Anthropic-built foundation. Built on Claude Agent SDK; Cresta claims 5x faster deployment.

  • Faster in-house builds. Enterprise developers and partners gain controls, certification and compliance.

Cresta, an AI platform for customer experience, on Oct. 29 announced end-to-end self-service capabilities for developers building customer-facing AI agents in-house or for clients. The release spans discovery, building, testing, deployment and ongoing optimization.

The centerpiece is Cresta Conductor, built on Anthropic's Claude Agent SDK. According to the company, enterprise developers have taken AI agents from first requirements to production in as little as one week. Cresta also launched Cresta Academy, a training and certification program for customer and partner engineers.

"Now all of those best practices, breakthroughs, and insights have been productized, so in-house developers can build customer-facing agents to that same standard themselves," said Ping Wu, CEO of Cresta. "We've handed them the keys, and love what they're already building."

Scaling AI agents in enterprise CX takes more than technology. It takes the operational discipline to design, test, and refine them continuously. Cresta Conductor gives our teams a self-serve platform to do exactly that as we build an AI agent workforce for our clients.

Recent Cresta News

Cresta has pushed an aggressive expansion through late 2026, broadening its CX AI platform beyond conversational agents while locking in distribution partnerships. The company rolled out Synthetic Customers for pre-deployment testing in May, Conductor for natural-language agent building in June, a Training Simulator and upgraded Insights with AI Analyst in July, and Deputy Agent for persistent back-office workflows in October.

Channel expansion has moved in parallel. Atento signed a multi-year, eight-figure agreement in May to embed Cresta into its Atent.AI offering across the Americas, followed by TELUS Digital becoming a preferred implementation partner in June. Firstsource added an AI Center of Excellence in August targeting joint deployments across the US, UK, Australia and the Middle East.

On the product side, Cresta launched Knowledge Agent in March — a browser sidebar assistant that analyzes conversation audio and on-screen data to eliminate agent toggling between CRMs and knowledge bases. The company has also staked out a position against survey-based feedback, arguing that its AI analyzes 100% of customer conversations to surface root causes and predictive CSAT scores, citing United Airlines and CVS Health as enterprise customers.

AI Agent Platforms Push Into Enterprise CX Automation

Enterprise AI agents are moving from pilots to production, but scaling self-service automation demands governance, workflow clarity and organizational readiness — not just better models.

Pilots frequently mislead, as curated data and manual workarounds mask coordination failures that surface only at scale. Human-in-the-loop oversight and business-logic constraints are becoming important architectural elements in production-grade deployments.

Cresta Background

Cresta provides AI software for enterprise contact centers, primarily serving customer service leaders. The company says its AI agents automate customer interactions and connect with CRM, billing and scheduling systems. Target industries include telecommunications, financial services, insurance, travel and retail, with customers such as Alaska Airlines, Cox Communications and Intuit.
