Sony 1000X The Collexion headphones
Headphones are a classic gift, but Sony’s 1000X The Collexion certainly stand out from the crowd. These luxury headphones were released this summer to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sony 1000X series, and they earned a spot on our best headphones of 2026 list. They’re reinforced with stainless steel and feature soft vegan leather for a high-end design. They also offer premium sound, upgraded drivers and spatial audio with 360 Reality Audio Upmix for a rich, immersive listening experience. In his full review of the headphones, CNET audio expert David Carnoy noted that, compared to Sony’s popular XM6 model, “The Collexion sounds a little cleaner, with more refined treble and a bit more depth and detail, and a slightly wider soundstage.” These headphones make an excellent gift for the audiophile in your life with sophisticated style.
Whisker Litter-Robot 5
The Litter-Robot 5 is one of our favorite pet tech devices, and it’s the perfect gift for the cat owner who’s tired of scooping litter. The self-cleaning litter box sifts out waste after every use and provides insights on your cat’s health. For multicat households, it uses a weight-based cat identification system to track each feline’s litter box usage and individual health data. “The biggest selling point for me is how much time it gave back to my nightly routine,” said CNET Editor Ajay Kumar.
Aiper Scuba V3 pool vacuum
Robot pool cleaners are still an emerging category, so the pool owner in your life likely doesn’t have one yet. The Scuba V3 pool vacuum uses AI-powered navigation to detect and collect leaves, stones and other debris to make pool cleaning a breeze. It earned the top spot on our list of the best robot pool cleaners and a CNET Editors’ Choice Award. CNET’s David Watsky said, “It’s genuinely impressive to watch it cruise along and adjust its course on the fly to grab leaves and pebbles as soon as they enter its catch zone.”

Meta Ray-Bans (Gen 3)
If you know someone who appreciates a good tech gadget, they’ll be a big fan of these smart glasses. CNET’s Scott Stein says the Meta Ray-Bans are practical and, oddly, transformative. He’s gotten so used to them that sometimes he’ll start talking to himself and tapping the glasses to take pictures before realizing he’s wearing his regular ones. “I suddenly miss the extra features like a phantom limb,” he says.
He also loves that AI is a “whimsical bonus” with the Meta Ray-Bans. “These are glasses first and cameras/headphones second — and pretty good ones at that.” For instance, the glasses can take photos and then analyze them with generative AI and respond back in audio. All in all, they’ll make an amazing gift.

We all have those friends or family members who like to experiment with their home lighting and smart home gadgets, and now they can even more with the Govee Floor Lamp 2. CNET’s James Bricknell calls it the “coolest smart lamp” out there, thanks to its low profile. “You can barely see it, just a small base and a thin line of metal,” Bricknell said. “The focus is on the light rather than the structure.” Plus, you can sync it with your other smart lights to really set the mood. The lamp uses RGB LEDs to offer a wide variety of colors, and it can be easily controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant or a single app.
