Can I change the time or date of my ticket?
You can amend the time or date of your ticket up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure from the origin of the route. Use our My Citylink account on our website and enter your seven-digit booking reference number. You can amend a booking up to three times. Destinations and pick-up points cannot be changed. Promotional fares purchased online cannot be amended.
How do I change my booking?
Go to My Citlyink Account and Sign In, you can amend the date and time of travel here.
Does Citylink offer refunds?
Citylink does not offer refunds. However, eligible tickets can be amended in advance to an alternative date and time via My Citylink. You can amend the date and time and not the pick up point or destination.
I have not received my tickets
If your ticket hasn`t been received within the hour of purchase, check your spam or junk email folders incase it has ended up there by mistake!

How do I cancel my booking?
We do not offer refunds, you can however amend your booking via My Citylink account.
What should i do if I entered the wrong email address on check out?.
If you entered the wrong email address or did not receive your ticket, please contact us at info@citylink.ie or 091 564164 with as much details as possible and our customer service team would be only more than happy to assist you.
Can I change a Single Ticket to a Return Ticket?
Unfortunately not, once a ticker has been purchased it cannot be amended from a single ticket to a return ticket. A new single ticket must be purchased to complete your return journey.
Do I need to change my name on my if it is incorrect?
Not unless you are travelling as a Free Travel Pass Holder or Young Adult or Student. As you will need to show your FTP Pass or YAC Card prior to boarding.
Can I buy a ticket from the driver?.
Limited standby tickets may be purchased from the driver, subject to seat availability. To guarantee your seat and to get our 10% online discount we highly recommend you to book online in advance.
Card payment is preferred and drivers may not always have exact change.
Are online fares the same as on-board fares?
No. Online fares differ from on board fares. Booking online and in advance is recommend to both guarantee your seat and make sure you get the best fare.
What is a family ticket?
A Family Ticket covers four passengers in total, Two Adults aged in 18 or over and two children aged 3-12.
What is a young adult fare?
The Young Adult fare is available to passengers who hold a valid Young Adult or Student Leap Card. Please visit the TFI website for details on how to apply. Once purchased you must book online to avail of this fare.
Can I use a Free Travel Pass?
Free Travel Pass holders can reserve travel through the Citylink website. Select the Free Travel Pass option for booking guidance. Bookings cannot be made over the phone, but the Customer Experience Team can assist by calling 091 564164 between 09:00 and 17:00.
Can a child accompany a Free Travel Pass Holder for free?
Unfortunately not, a person must be aged 16 or over to accompany a Free Travel Pass holder and only where the pass permits a companion. Children travelling with a Free Travel Pass holder must make a seperate reservation and purchase the appropriate fare.
How long before departure should you arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to allow for a smooth and efficient boarding.
Can I travel on an earlier or later service than the one I booked?.
This is subject to availability if we have space we will be able to accommodate after we have boarded all booked passengers on to the service.
What happens if my flight is delayed and I miss my bus?
If you miss your booked service, you may use your current ticket on a later service, on the same day subject to availability. You can also modify your booking on My Citylink to a later service yourself.
Can i get off during my journey and continue later?.
If you disembark, during your journey your ticket expires and you would need to purchase a seperate ticket for the rest of your journey.
Can I get a bus from Dublin City to Dublin Airport?.
No, Dublin City is a drop-off point only for services travelling to Dublin Airport and Citylink is not permitted to pick up passengers in Dublin and bring to the Airport.
How much luggage can I bring?.
You may bring one medium- sized suit case or rucksack up to 20 KG and one small carry on bag free of charge. Carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead rack or under the seat in front of you.
Additional luggage is subject to space availability and may incur a €5 charge per item. You can pre book additional luggage when making your booking. Please keep valuables such as passports, money, medication and jewellery with you on board. Golf bags are allowed if included within your luggage allowance. Large sporting items such as kayaks and canoes cannot be accommodated.
Can I bring a bicycle on the coach?
Bicycles are accepted subject to space availability. If accommodated a €5 per bicycle per journey applies, this included folding bicycles also. Bicycles can be pre-booked online and passengers should arrive early to assist with loading.
Electric Bicycles, e-scooters, mobility scooters, electric unicycles, e-skateboards and hoverboards are not permitted on board under any circumstances.
Are food and drinks permitted on board?
Non- Odorous food and drinks with lids are permitted on board. Alcohol is strictly not permitted.
Are there toilets on board?
Yes, all Citylink services have toilet facilities on board.
Are there plug sockets or USB ports on board?.
Our coach models vary, so please bring both a plug charger and USB cable where possible. Charging points may be located under the seat, between seats or overhead.
What age qualifies for a child , teen or infant fare?
Children aged 3 to 12 can travel on a child fare. Teen fares apply to passengers aged 13 to 18. One infant aged 0 to 2 may travel free of charge with an adult fare-paying passenger. Additional infants travelling with the same adult are charged at the child fare. Children and infants aged 0 to 14 must be accompanied on Express services by an adult fare-paying passenger. Drivers may ask for proof of age from those booked on a teen ticket.
Can children travel unaccompanied?.
For safety reasons, unaccompanied children under 14 will not knowingly be carried on Express services. Children wearing school uniforms may travel unaccompanied on Multi-stop services where the journey is less than 25 kilometres.
Can I bring a car seat or booster seat for my child?.
You may bring a car seat or booster seat for your child, however you must take the seat with you when you disembark.
