Mission, Vision, Core Values

1. Mission Statement
The Khmers Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) is a registered 501(c)(6) non-profit organization in Washington, D.C., dedicated to advocating for the political, legal, cultural, religious, and indigenous rights of the Khmer-Krom, Indigenous Peoples in Kampuchea-Krom (the Mekong Delta, Southern Vietnam). Our mission is to advance the right to self-determination, promote cultural and religious autonomy, and ensure the protection of fundamental human rights for the Khmer-Krom.

KKF is committed to educating national and international communities about the history, identity, and ongoing struggles of the Khmer-Krom population. Through diplomatic engagement, advocacy at global human rights forums, and community empowerment, KKF seeks to amplify the Khmer-Krom’s voices and work towards a future where they can freely exercise their Indigenous rights, religious freedoms, and cultural heritage without fear of repression or discrimination.

2. Vision Statement

The Khmers Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) envisions a future where the Khmer-Krom in Kampuchea-Krom can freely exercise their right to self-determination, cultural identity, and religious freedom without fear of persecution or discrimination.

We strive for a world where the Khmer-Krom community is recognized, respected, and empowered, ensuring their fundamental human rights are protected in accordance with international laws and declarations on indigenous peoples’ rights.

Through advocacy, diplomacy, and education, KKF aims to foster a global movement that supports the Khmer-Krom in achieving political, social, and economic justice, preserving their language, traditions, and Theravada Buddhist practices, and securing a future where dignity, equality, and freedom are fully realized.

The Khmers Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) is firmly committed to non-violence and operates based on fundamental principles that guide our mission and advocacy for the Khmer-Krom people. These core values embody our dedication to self-determination, human rights, and preserving Khmer-Krom culture and identity:

  • Self-Determination: We uphold the Khmer-Krom people’s right to determine their own political, economic, social, and cultural future in accordance with international human rights laws and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).
  • Human Rights & Justice: We are dedicated to advocating for the fundamental freedoms and rights of the Khmer-Krom, including freedom of religion, expression, peaceful assembly, and access to fair legal processes.
  • Cultural & Religious Preservation: We strive to protect and promote the rich heritage of the Khmer-Krom people, including their Khmer language, Theravada Buddhist traditions, and ancestral customs, ensuring they are passed down to future generations.
