UN climate chief hails India's Green Energy Corridor-III, says grid strengthening will deliver "big dividends"
India’s Rs 1.86 lakh crore Green Energy Corridor Phase-III has won backing from the UN’s top climate official, who said stronger grids and battery storage could boost energy security, jobs and economic growth. The scheme aims to enable evacuation of about 135 GW of renewable power, deploy 50 GWh of battery storage and support India’s 500 GW non-fossil capacity target for 2030.
