IT companies forecast to post muted second quarter
Sector leader Tata Consultancy Services and its nearest rival, Infosys, are projected to report weak numbers for the three months ending September 30. Analysts tracked by ET on average forecast TCS to post organic revenue growth of 0.5% sequentially and 2.8% from a year earlier. They expect Infosys to report a 1.1% quarter-on-year and 0.2% year-on-year increase in organic revenue, which excludes income from acquisitions.
HCLTech software unit to acquire European firm Robotiq.ai for 9 million euros
The company will acquire 100% of the outstanding equity of Robotiq.ai to be acquired by HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step- down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech, for a cash consideration of nine million euros adjusted for customary post-closing adjustments for net debt and working capital, HCLTech, India’s third largest IT services company, said in a filing.

Top IT's subcontractor costs creep up as volatile pipelines force flexible staffing
Subcontractor costs as a share of revenue increased sequentially at most firms in the June quarter, Kotak Institutional Equities said in a note. The ratio rose to 9.6% at LTM from 8.3% in March, to 15.5% from 15.3% at Persistent Systems, to 11.7% from 11.5% at Wipro and to 8.7% from 8.5% at Infosys.
