Ακολουθήστε μαςA warm welcome to @DanJoergensen, commissioner for energy and housing, to our S&D Group meeting in Strasbourg. We're on the side of the citizens struggling everywhere: we're committed to tackling the rocketing cost of living.
We call for a fundamental change in Europe’s energy policy: Europeans must finally see the benefits of cheaper clean energy in their electricity bills. Clean energy should mean lower bills. @MChahim S&Ds: Clean energy must bring the bills down for…
Our Europe champions fundamental rights, not divisive far-right debates on ‘entryism’. If the European Parliament wants a serious discussion on tackling extremism in society, it’s time to focus on better public services, anti-discrimination laws and combating social exclusion.
The EPP push to kill the Industrial Accelerator Act puts Europe’s industry and millions of jobs at risk. We say public money must strengthen EU production, technology and jobs. There is finally momentum on European preference: get back to the negotiating table, EPP. @PJouvet
EU leaders must not look the other way! Austerity and cuts are NOT the answer. We need a long-term EU budget that protects people through this social and affordability crisis, with new own resources funded by big tech and highly profitable energy companies. Citizens must not
✊Age verification should be done in a privacy conserving way, with zero-knowledge protocols and third-party verification. ✊Protect the data and anonymity of Europeans online. For children and adults! WE set the rules on what is acceptable conduct, not businesses themselves!
Too many families mourn the loss of a child due to toxic digital products. 🚨 90% of Europeans want us to regulate social media for children. It shows how bad things are and that legislation is overdue. @alexagiussaliba live in #Eplenary - Home | Plenary | European Parliament

Ακολουθήστε μαςTheir fight isn’t really against “entryism”. It’s about feeding fear and hatred. As our member @chloridel fairly asked: “Where are you when ultra-Catholic organisations try to roll back women’s rights? Where are you when Trumpism enters Europe through the support of far-right and ultranationalist…
People who live in Europe should be helped by Europe. Today in the European Parliament, the right & far right voted against that. Currently, EU embassies must help citizens abroad. We want to extend that help to EU residents too, like refugees and other legal EU residents.
When the cost of living rises, Europe must deliver 6 in 10 Europeans fear the cost of living will keep rising — and that they won’t be able to afford it. For too many, even paying rent where they live is becoming a worry. And as people struggle, their trust in politics is declining. Europeans…

Three years ago, on 7 October, Israel suffered the deadliest terrorist attack in its history. Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups deliberately targeted civilians, killing more than 1,200 people — families in their homes, communities, young people at a music festival. 251 people were abducted…
It‘s your Birthday, President Putin. 🎂 Another year older. Still waiting for the wisdom. Our birthday wishes? 🕊️ A ceasefire - and an end to a war that has left Russia poorer, more isolated and less secure. 🗳️ Stop meddling in other countries’ elections. 🤝 Choose your friends more wisely…
We cannot do more with less. Wars are driving up energy prices. Climate change is destroying farmers’ crops. Families can no longer afford a home. We want a Europe that invests in hospitals, infrastructure, jobs and affordable housing. Talking about prosperity while an entire generation cannot…

As the 🇪🇺Commission presents its pre-enlargement policy reviews, an S&D delegation will travel to Chișinău to discuss Moldova’s path towards EU membership and reaffirm the Group’s relentless support for its European future. @kvanbrempt.bsky.social www.socialistsanddemocrats.eu/newsroom/sds...
✊Those who earn more, should contribute. The solutions are here. And they don't burden the citizens more!
Talking about the next 🇪🇺Budget, @iratxegarper.bsky.social is clear: "Europe cannot do more with less!" The only realistic way to avoid deeper cuts to the EU budget is already on the table: new genuine own resources that provide the Union with a fair and sustainable source of revenue.
✊We call for a social energy bonus, financed through the windfall profits of energy companies, to help families cope with the affordability crisis
Let's be clear: ✊No one should ever have to choose between paying their energy bill and putting food on the table. ✊We support a strong Social Climate Fund to help those facing high transport and energy costs @iratxegarper.bsky.social
