Pammy Zamora

Pammy Zamora (full name: Amparo Maria Jorge Zamora) was the representative of the 2nd District of Taguig City in the House of Representatives from 2022-2025. She sought reelection in 2025, but lost.

A graduate of the University of Asia and the Pacific, she joined politics in 2013, when she was elected councilor of the same district. She was reelected in 2016 and 2019. As council member, she advocated health and women empowerment, and chaired the committee on health during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She won in the 2022 congressional race, succeeding term-limited congresswoman Laarni Cayetanom, who opted to return as mayor. In Congress, Zamora authored bills that created new barangays in Taguig and launched the One-Stop Service Center to provide mobile offsite processing of services of various national government agencies, among other legislation. She has also expressed a strong stance on the alleged Philippines-China “gentleman’s agreement” concerning the grounded BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin Shoal and the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators.

In 2024, Zamora faced backlash for refusing to follow local government protocols in distributing relief to families affected by Super Typhoon Carina. She was barred from entering an evacuation center due to a lack of coordination, resulting in tension between her camp and the personnel onsite.

She came from a political family based in San Juan City. Her father Ronaldo was a long-time congressman and once an executive secretary under the Estrada administration. Her older siblings are current officials in the city: brother Francis is city mayor, and sister Bel is congresswoman
