Ping Remulla

Ping Remulla (full name: Crispin Diego Diaz Remulla) is on his second term as the the representative for Cavite’s seventh district. He first held the seat via a special election in 2023. He was sworn to office to replace his father, Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla, who initially won the congressional seat in the 2022 elections, but was appointed justice secretary shortly after the polls.

Remulla graduated with a degree in economics from the Ateneo de Manila University, and a law degree from the University of the Philippines. Prior to joining Congress, he was a member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cavite from 2019 to 2022.

His second term as provincial board was cut short when he joined and won the special four-way election to fill the vacancy in Congress left by his father. His brother, Francisco Gabriel "Abeng" Remulla, was appointed by their party, the National Unity Party, to replace him in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. Days before the special election, a disqualification petition was filed against him by one of his opponents for alleged use of public funds for his campaign, but it did not prosper.

He descends from a family of elected officials in Cavite. Apart from his father, who was governor from 2016 to 2019, his grandfather Juanito "Johnny" Remulla Sr. was also governor from 1988 to 1995, while his uncle Juanito Victor "Jonvic" Remulla Jr. has been serving as governor since 2019.

He is married to Georgia Parungao, with whom he has two children.</p"
