Ralph Tulfo

Ralph Tulfo (full name: Ralph Wendel Pua Tulfo) is the representative of Quezon City's 2nd District in the House of Representatives, elected in 2022, in his first venture into politics.

When he joined the 2022 congressional race, it was his older sister Maricel who filed his certificate of candidacy as he was on quarantine for having had close contact with a COVID19-positive individual. He won and defeated then-reelectionist congresswoman Mari Grace "Precious" Hipolito-Castelo.

In Congress, he has authored bills seeking to grant teaching supplies allowance to public teachers, to establish a digital prison record system, to mandate the installation of CCTV cameras in all business establishments, to create job placement offices in public high schools, and to create anti-bullying policies in the workplace, among others. He voted in favor of the absolute divorce bill, and in favor of revoking the franchise of media network Sonshine Media Network International.

He graduated with a degree in mass communication from the University of Santo Tomas in 2018, and originally planned to follow in the footsteps of his father, senator and broadcaster Raffy. He has appeared numerous times in his father's public service program Raffy Tulfo in Action.

His mother Jocelyn and uncle Erwin also served as lawmakers, when they were elected as representatives of the party-list organization Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS). All three were in office as lawmakers at the same time during the 19th Congress.
