You know you must be on to something when your writing gets tweeted by J.K. Rowling herself.

On Friday morning, teacher Kate Clanchy from Oxford, UK, shared a poem written by one of her students.

"The kids always write the best poems after they've stopped listening to me," she wrote.

"For example, I usually tell them to avoid rhyming couplets because they govern the poem and tend to be comic -- but this has heavy rhyme, and it's heartbreaking."

Here's the full poem, written by 15-year-old Louis:

"Louis is in the sixth form now," Clanchy told Mashable. "I haven’t used his full name for privacy reasons, but he is very, very pleased to be so famous! If a bit surprised..."

Clanchy explained that Louis wrote the poem as part of a series of workshops focussing on disadvantaged children in Year 10.

"I was looking for the ones who have talent but find it hard to volunteer after school," she explained. "Louis wrote this in a workshop, but was definitely taking his own line!

"We were all devastated when he read it, and even more so when he shared it at a Year 10 poetry celebration."

At the time of writing, as well as having been shared by one of the world's most famous authors, Louis' poem has also had over 900 retweets and well over 4,000 likes.

Not many 15-year-old poets can claim that.
