- GUI - Remove Sasmodels shim from SasView
- refactor for better GPU/CPU performance (Perhaps using pytorch or numba? #616)
- This will let us drop tccbox from the dependencies
- Alternatively, supply minimal headers so tccbox can run on mac/linux #500
- sasmodels changes/upgrades
- Add Qz correctly (relies on sasdata refactor including that properly) #514
- Add 1D oriented models (or ability to fit 1D cuts of an anisotropic 2D data set)
- Note: Oriented USANS (2D anisotropy with slit resolution applied) exists https://github.com/SasView/sasmodels/blob/master/example/oriented_usans.py https://github.com/SasView/sasmodels/blob/7d1a1560ebb95c8b5d15a1ae72ead473993ca635/sasmodels/resolution2d.py#L177-L236
- Multiple scattering #246
- Built in support for complex numbers in models to facilitate non centrosymmetric models as well as a new way to build models from components using the full complex representation of the amplitudes. See for example "A general core shell model #696
- Normalize Vol fraction/scale handling #232 #219 #720
- Support proper MASKing for 1D - note this may affect how resolution is calculated
- Support for complex numbers in F(Q) (all 3 directions F(Qx,Qy,Qz))
- Refactor parameters (non-fittable but setable #266, derived parameters, etc)
- what about the notion of multiplicity or "control" parameters?
- return intermediate and derived values and vectors from the calculation
- Better support for model variants #215
- Models have natural variants such as radius_major-radius_minor vs radius-aspect vs volume-aspect
- Build the variants into the model?
- Hackish support via reparameterize --- better GUI support?
- Refactor integrations to be
- User-settable number of integration terms #712
- Plugins chosen by the caller (user)
- Rewritten to be better parallelizable
- Add/refactor S(Q)
- Provide a locally monodisperse option #206
- Provide for oriented SQ in 2D. -- See Nicolas under development https://github.com/nicoratel/debye3d and https://github.com/nicoratel/debye3d/blob/main/examples/debye3D_spherical_particles.ipynb
- Provide the ability to provide precalculated terms outside of any Q or polydispersity loops, or allow use of master curves?
- Full support for python models (incl. magnetism, orientational dispersion, including 2D)#247
- 2D slit resolution (takes 2D and integrates over slit) exits in explore
- Direct support for composite models #235
- Parameters for different models separated in the GUI
- Composition saved in the project file
- No plugin model needed --- the project file can be shared
- Other as identified
- GUI - allow fitting on data operations
- GUI - plot final SLD profile (or FT amplitude?)
- GUI - Advertise marketplace in the fitting window
- GUI - Make plugin model documentation render the same as built in models #761
- Provide validation tools (particularly since AI is being used more and more) - also important for moving from marketplace to core
- Help with checking documentation matches code, tests and docs meet specs before moving to core
- Validating results? How?
- Marketplace refactor?
- Integrate documentation properly so it does not get uploaded separately
- Add version control to models (i.e. for upgrades or bug fixes)
- Add fields for newer versions of a model, for which versions of sasmodels the models work/no longer work etc.
- Possibly add new categories such as distribution - kept in a separate section but also version controlled etc.
- Etc
