CS1 error on Philip II of Macedon

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Philip II of Macedon, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A ISBN error. References show this error when the ISBN value or formatting is invalid. Please edit the article to ensure the value is correct, that only one ISBN is used, that the proper optional separators are used, and that no other text is included. (Fix | Ask for help). Below are the references causing this error:
    • Worthington, Ian (2014). By the spear: Philip II, Alexander the Great, and the rise and fall of the Macedonian empire. Oxford: Oxford University Press. p. 100. ISBN 978–0–19–992986–3. Macedonia would not be a member of this synedrion, thereby allowing the Greeks some autonomy in conducting their affairs" {{cite book}}: Check |isbn= value: invalid character (help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 09:46, 25 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon You have recently made edits related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe. This is a standard message to inform you that the Balkans or Eastern Europe is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics. Information icon Hello, I'm NebY. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Macedonia (ancient kingdom) seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Also, as described at Talk:Macedonia (ancient kingdom)#League of Corinth pretext but applicable across all our articles, per WP:SYNTH sources can only be used to imply or state a conclusion explicitly stated by that source; we cannot treat e.g. "pretext", "propaganda", "bait" and "exploitation" as synonyms nor use them of one matter if the author uses them of another. WP:ONUS places the responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion on you as an editor seeking to include disputed content. NebY (talk) 19:24, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Macedonia (ancient kingdom). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Your recent edit was reverted, as it appears you are trying to draw a conclusion. It is advisable to seek consensus by discussing it on the talk page first before making edits to well-established articles. Continuing to edit these articles without establishing consensus can be construed as edit warring.A.Cython(talk) 20:33, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Stop icon You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Alexander the Great. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.

You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. Similarly, your edits in Macedonia (ancient kingdom) are also problematic. Please collaborate with other editors. A.Cython(talk) 21:26, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Pella curse tablet, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. In solidarity, Dafootballguy (Want to talk?) 21:28, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

For your own sake as an editor and perhaps also as a person, do ease off. You're engaging in conflict with more and more editors across more and more articles and talk pages, and trying to lay down the law to them. Wikipedia has a lot of policies and guidelines, too many for any ordinary person to memorise, and it usually takes some time too to understand how they work together, and to grasp the principles that underlie them and the practices that emerge from them. You're not giving yourself time for that, and that makes it less likely that you'll achieve anything. You might start easing off by not arguing with Nemov about their close (in your reverting edit summary you wrote "The RfC must run for a week", which is not the case, and now are asking them to justify themselves as if they were a participant in the RfC and not the closer) but however you go about it, do take a moment to review your effectiveness in editing this encyclopedia. I've accepted the closure SuriMuri (talk) 20:03, 1 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

You're making a big mistake here. It's clear that I'm not related to ARBRSH. The guy has not made even one edit regarding Macedonia. All his edits pertain Albania. My ip range covers around 10,000,000 people. The check user said Active range with a ton of activity from established non-related accounts which proves my argument. What exactly do I have in common with HelenHIL? All my conduct was within WP policies. If I'm connected to ARBRSH which according to WP is sockpuppet of HelenHIL why then you've not find HelenHIL on the same ip range as me? I doubt if ARBRSH is actually a sockpuppet as he doesn't have anything in common with HelenHIL. Maybe a second admin can review my case.
