Your recent edit to May 11 was not supported by any source and contradicts the source I found to attempt to support your change. It has been reverted. I'll assume that your edit was made in good faith but you need to provide reliable sources for your edits.
I'm not up on all the WP:ARBMAC restrictions, but I advise you to be much more careful about changes such as that.
Toddst1 (talk) 01:24, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
- @Toddst1 Thanks, I can replace the source, if necessary. As written is very much out of line with the majority of literature. While "Nova Roma" is technically correct is was outdated and not used even at his time; it is a misleading term. "Byzantine Empire" is the WP:COMMONNAME for the Roman Empire that became Christian and later Greek-speaking (see Google Ngram results). A.Cython(talk) 03:20, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. FWIW, I don't have any opinion on ARBMAC stuff - I just keep an eye on the days of the year stuff and this flagged my attention. Cheers. Toddst1 (talk) 14:26, 6 September 2026 (UTC)

Military History Project Coordinators Election
[edit]I encourage you to put in a nomination to become a military history coordinator for the year starting October 1. There are only two days left to do it (although late nominations have been allowed in the past when there are less than 10). You are already doing some of the tasks and certainly have enough experience to help out. You can also have the "title", FWIW. While the page doesn't say this, it only takes one vote to be elected. Hint: the candidates usually vote for the candidates other than themselves. Some years ago, more nominations were made but unfortunately the trend has been downward in recent years. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 02:16, 13 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for putting in a nomination for coordinator. I am sure you will continue to be a great help to the project. Donner60 (talk) 00:54, 14 September 2026 (UTC)
- @Donner60 Thank you for the invitation, I will do what I can

TFA
[edit]Thank you today for Noemvriana, "about an armed confrontation in Athens during World War I between the Greek royalist government and Allied (French and English) forces. Despite the events sometimes called "forgotten", Noemvriana contains a rich narrative: an almost civil war that scarred Greek society for decades, a monarch's abdication, an anathema of a prime minster, a French battleship bombarded Athens, naval embargo causing famine, and more, all of which led in the end for the Greek army to join on the side of the Allies significantly contributing to the war's end."! - looks like a 2011 dream came true, - enjoy! wikihounding
[edit]I see you're following me in different articles that you've not previously edited like
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pella_curse_tablet&action=history&offset=&limit=500
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Makedon_(mythology)&action=history&offset=&limit=500
and on another that you've only edited once
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pella&action=history&offset=&limit=500
This probably constitutes wikihounding per WP:Harassment. SuriMuri (talk) 12:31, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
- @SuriMuri: Welcome to Wikipedia where everyone can edit. I have no desire to read your edits, but you have mass editing articles that I cared about even I have not edited them yet. However, you are mass editing in short period of time these articles by introducing errors and damaging the source-text integrity, ranging from wrong attribution, WP:OR, WP:POV pushing, and use of WP:UNDUE material. Each such edit that violates WP:POLICIES will be challenged if not by me then by someone else. There is no privacy in WP. WP:V is one of the pillars of WP. So rather jumping into contentious topic it would be more productive to learn the WP policies by editing non-controversial topics. A.Cython(talk) 13:44, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
