Economics has become the corner-stock of our present life both for individuals and nations. The Third World countries are fast moving to establish their economies based on the capitalist pattern, commonly adopted in the West. Free market economy is holding sway in most of the developing nations under economics pressure by the Western lending institutions like the IMF an the World Bank. “Join the band wagon or be left on the roadside” is the slogan flung at the impoverished nations of the Third World. The two great agencies of man’s character through history have been religion and economics. Unfortunately, present day man is more affected by the economic agency than by the religious, as he is almost moulded by his everyday work and the material resources he thereby procures. He is reverberating the words of Tennessee Ernine’s pop song of the 50s, “St. Peter don’t call me cause I can’t go. I owe soul to the company store.”
Not a single day passes in the last; quarter o the 20th century without the word Islam being spotlighted in the print or electronic media of the West and mostly to in a derogatory manner using the prefix Islamic for bombs, terrorists, militants, suppression of women etc. The capitalistic demagogues of the West through their voice machines like BBC and CNN shout themselves hoarse, tarnish the centre spreads of the print media with anti-Islamic rhetoric for the sole reason that Islam is their No. 1 enemy and the biggest stumbling block to their continued economic exploitation of the Islamic block of’ countries numbering over 50 in particular and the rest of the Third World in general.
The free market economy as declared by the West to the Third World and being readily implemented by the nations of the South is alien to Islam, and does not fit into the overall scheme of life Islam envisages.

English Essay on "Islamic Economics and Place of Interest"
Islamic Economic Order, based on the revealed teachings of Islam by Allah, the Knower, the Wise, is unique in its nature, teachings and methodology. It is fundamentally poles apart from both capitalism and communism possessing the birtues of both but free from their evils. Allah has given a warning in the
Quran that anyone who is not prepared to give up the practice of Riba should prepare himself for war with Allah. But while all Muslims accept the prohibition, the controversy about the essence, nature and parameters of what has been prohibited by the Quran in prohibiting Riba remains.
The meaning of Riba in the light of the Shariah as understood by the scholars is as follows: in the Arabic language Riba, literally refers to increase, addition, expansion or growth. In explaining the injections of the Quran, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) added cret.ain transitions of exchange (bay) also in definition of Riba, i.e., riba al fadl (riba of excess) to distinguish it from riba al nasiah (riba of waiting).
Quran disapproves of Riba (Usury). A true Muslim is, therefore, a duty bound to avoid all monetary transactions, which have an element of Riba, or exoritant iniquitous interest.

Is Islam a Name of Fundamentalism? - English Essay
Is Islam a Name of Fundamentalism?
English Essay on "Is Islam a Name of Fundamentalism?"
Would you call it an irony of fate or international vilification of Islam by some nations that a religion which, by its very name, is peace-preaching has come to be associated with Terrorism and condemned under, the newly coined term fundamentalism. Basically, fundamentalism means nothing more than sticking to the fundamentals of one’s faith. Is it bad? Do not many Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, even the nonreligious communists stick to the fundamentals of their faith? Are they not fundamentalists by the very definition? Why is the term applied only to Muslims specifically and discriminately? Just to condemn them under a new name?
For centuries the Western nations have been condemning Islam on the accusation that Islam had been spread by sword. When Western scholars themselves exposed the fallacy of this proposition, anti-Islam minds thought of a new pretext. They coined the word fundamentalism to equate Muslims with terrorists. Their policy is to give their opponents a bad name and kill them. Islam means peace arid submission to the Divine Will. It preaches peace of all types — peace between man and man, between man and God, between man and the universe, between man and his environment, between man and the plant and animal kingdoms -- peace at individual, family, social, national and international levels. The whole life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the early history of Islam testifies to the peace-loving nature of Islam. Any offensive steps taken by early Muslims were in self-defence in the sense that they were meant to check oppression and aggression and bring in durable peace. How can a religion whose prophet preaches that bravely lies not in bringing down one‘s rival to the ground but in overcoming one‘s own evil tendencies, tolerate, much less promote, terrorism?
Peace is internally linked with justice and human rights. All disorders and disputes arise from denying to others their due rights and a violation of basic human rights. That is why the Holy Prophet (PBUH) throughout his life emphasized peace, justice and human rights through personal example and through precepts and preaching. In AH 6 he negotiated a peace pact with the Makkans (known as Hudaibiya Treaty) even on apparently humiliating terms, just for the sake of peace and avoiding bloodshed.

Can Islam be Enforced Through Coercion? - English Essay
Can Islam be Enforced Through Coercion?
English Essay on "Can Islam be Enforced Through Coercion?"
Most ulema believe that public observance of certain rituals of Islam is compulsory and should be enforced. The compulsory deduction of zakat was hindered by the Shia community and was later made voluntary by the Supreme Court under the Principle of equal treatment.
Most of us believe that there is no “compulsion” in Islamic, but in public observances the element of compulsion has always been on the increase in Pakistan as an Islamic state. Some of it has come through exclusion of the alternative view. Some of it has come through in the shape of “duties” to be performed by a Muslim in public life. But by and large public life has been free of the kind of coercion used by the Taliban in Afghanistan with respect to the “duty” of keeping beards. With regard to “hijab”, the view in Pakistan sometimes inclines to compulsion . The same view has been expressed with regard to the observance of “namaz”.
Quoted in “Jang” (October 28, 2002), leader of Tabbleeghi Jamaat Haji Abdul Wahab said on the last day of the Tableeghi congregation that the Taliban had enforced Islam through coercion. That was why their Islam had disappeared after their departure from the scene. He said Islam spread through invitation and willingness. The great hunter of blasphemers, lawyer Ismail Qureshi wrote in “Nawa-e-Waqt” (October 26, 2002) that General Musharraf had allowed certain changes in the Penal Code that only the legislature was entitled to carry out. He said the new dispensation was that the decision to register a case of blasphemy should be made by two gazette officers well-versed in Islamic law. If these two officers felt, they could ask a neutral scholar of Islam to join in the inquiry.

Interest in Islam - English Essay
Interest in Islam
English Essay on "Interest in Islam"
Islam is not a religion, simply preaching the Oneness of God, faith in His messengers and a few religious rituals. On the contrary it is a complete code of life, which enshrines the entire activities of a normal human being. One of the most striking feature of Islam in justice and brotherhood. Entire edifice of Islam is based, on these two concepts. Belief in oneness of God and its messenger is a justice, not with the God but onto yours elf, into your soul and flesh. Divinely words are:
And the sky He hath uplifted and He hath set the
measure, that. yee exceed not the measure, but observe
the measure strictly not fall short thereof. (55, 7-9)
Maudoodi in his Tafheem writes that all the commentators of the Holy Quran have taken justice as the meanings of Measure. Set the measure, signifies that God has established the whole system of universe on justice and since we are living in a universe which is based on justice and harmony, we too have to lead our lives in a manner based on these two noble concepts. Our religion teaches that all activities social as well as economic must converge towards justice and equity. Any deviation from the above rule shall end in a social and economic chaos, apart from earning the Wrath of God. The Quran strongly criticises and condemns these who wrongfully and illegally acquire the wealth and property of others. See the Divine verdict:
And eat not up your property among yourself in vanity, nor seek it to gain the hearing of the judges that yee may knowingly devour a portion of the property of other wrongfully. (2: 188)
All business transactions must be based on justice and equity and exploitation of any manner is strictly forbidden. Any deal in which return to one party is guaranteed and to the other uncertain is void and is disapproved by Islam.

Diagnosis of Muslims Decline - English Essay
Diagnosis of Muslims Decline
English Essay on "Diagnosis of Muslims Decline"
There were times when Islamic empire was expanding from the eastern coast of India to the western coast of Europe. If we imagine today that such empire existed in the golden pages of history we first think “how?” We can see the boundaries of Islamic countries covering large portion of the world map but they are not one as they were two hundred years ago. They are now struggling for their independent survival but in their individual capacity. The question is why they are not united, what has rendered them to this state of disintegration, why they are not at the top of their glory as they were in their past? For all these questions only one answer could be have, that is, the negligence of the importance of time, as a philosopher of time could surmise, on the part of Muslims. For them time was a mere tool of prolonging their stay on earth and this at this time is prolonging the agony of their new generations about their future state in future.
The rapid decline of the Muslims after their phenomenal rise is startling. It was not merely decline, a phenomena familiar in history, but degeneration and degradation which call for a probing examination of the causes which brought them about. The pathology of peoples no less than individuals needs an in-depth study, particularly ii the present age when the demands of recovery and proceeding on progressive lines are becoming more and more urgent. The main disregard of the Pen and the Sword, the twin vital factors which have been stressed again and again in, the Quran so that the Muslims should never loose sight of them; their whole existence and survival in a world of contending forces depends upon them.
Another very important cause of their downfall is their failure to understand the value of time, an integral and invulnerable part of their personality, society and culture. The time factor is one of the kingpins of the Muslim belief, religious and action systems. Both their culture and faith are encompassed by tempo-centric implications. Time is not a simple process of measurement. It is not something devoid of meaning, a mere blank. It is full of meaning, values and norms in all its phases.

Concept of Birth Control in Islam - English Essay
Concept of Birth Control in Islam
English Essay on "Concept of Birth Control in Islam"
In 1971 when Pakistan comprised East and West wings the total population of the country was 120 million. At the time of the parting of the ways East Pakistan was 70 million while the West had only 50 million. In the last twenty-two years, while the population of Bangladesh increased from 70 to 110 million, the population of Pakistan has registered a phenomenal growth from a mere 50 million to 110 million.
The growth rate of Pakistan has been much more than that of Bangladesh. While Bangladesh, which at one time had the highest growth rate and density per square mile of population in the world has successfully and ‘effectively curtailed this growth to 2.7 per cent. In Pakistan the current growth rate is now far ahead of Bangladesh as it has nearly hit the figure of 4 per cent. At this rate the projections are that by the year 2000 Pakistan will have more than 150 million people. Therefore, by the turn of the century the population of Pakistan will have tripled, in a short span of 30 years, from what it was in 1971.
Pakistan is facing a potential population bomb. With the rapid increase in population poverty, level is also rising manifold, Soon this can lead to a situation where Pakistan will have a large mass of under-clothed, underfed, illiterate and angry people. Poverty breeds hatred and hatred leads to violence which in turn does not distinguish between right and wrong.
It is rightly said that a problem avoided is a crisis invited, and a crisis not mastered becomes a cataclysm. Bangladesh with its teeming millions is an international basket case Bangladesh rose to the occasion and has been successful in controlling its population growth rate. If Pakistan is not careful soon she will be stigmatized by that same humiliating epithet. Populations in pre-modern times maintained themselves or slowly expanded under conditions of high mortality balanced against high and essentially uncontrolled fertility within marriage. During the Industrial Revolution which occurred in the West in the later years of the eighteenth and in the nineteenth century, mortality started to decline while fertility remained high.
