Radial Entertainment’s Shout! Studios will release the 2012 crime drama End of Watch on 4K Ultra HD disc for the first time Jan. 20 in a Steelbook combo pack that also includes a regular Blu-ray edition of the film.
The film from writer-director David Ayer stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña as LAPD beat cops whose duties patrolling a dangerous neighborhood of Los Angeles brings them into conflict with members of a notorious drug cartel following a routine traffic stop.
The cast also includes Anna Kendrick, America Ferrera, David Harbour and Frank Grillo.
The two-disc limited-edition Steelbook includes legacy bonus content from Universal’s initial 2013 Blu-ray release of the film. The first disc in the Steelbook contains the film on a 4K disc with a new 4K Dolby Vision presentation and a commentary with Ayer. The second disc contains the film on a regular Blu-ray with the Ayer commentary, plus deleted scenes and five featurettes: “Fate With A Badge,” “In The Streets,” “Women On Watch,” “Watch Your Six” and “Honors.”
