CES Boxing will host a press conference Sunday at the Blue Shamrock in Lowell to announce the details of ‘Mill City Mayhem,’ a stacked fight card scheduled for Saturday, June 21 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

Tickets for ‘Mill City Mayhem’ are on sale, starting at $52 and available at CES Fights or the Lowell Auditorium website.

The press conference will take place at the conclusion of Micky’s Run, a 5K charity road race benefiting Team Micky Ward charities.

Race day registration and the post-race party will be held at the Blue Shamrock. The race begins at 11 a.m., and the press conference after party begins at 1 p.m. The Blue Shamrock is located at 105 Market St.

In attendance at the press conference will be the “Savage with a Smile,” WBC U.S. silver welterweight champion “Speedy” Rashidi Ellis (26-1, 17 KOs), undefeated middleweight prospect Michael “Blessed Southpaw” Fontanez (11-0, 7 KOs), and several of the best prospects in New England.

Ellis will be headlining near his hometown for the second time since signing with CES. The Lynn native is ranked No. 7 with the WBO as he closes in on a world title shot. Rashidi’s Boston Butchers teammate, Mike Fontanez, is coming off the biggest win of his career, a six-round round TKO over Ray Oliveira Jr. in February. He looks to take another step up in competition on June 21 in the co-feature.

Also on hand will be Ward, a Lowell legend and former World Boxing Union super lightweight champion who was involved in many of the best fights of the 1990s and 2000s, including his classic trilogy with Arturo Gatti, and wars against Louis Veader, Emanuel Augustus and Shea Neary.

The Lowell Memorial Auditorium is one of the most historic boxing venues in New England. It has hosted the Golden Gloves since 1947. Ward is among New England boxers who experienced their first major fights at the venue, located at the merge of the Merrimack and Concord rivers.

Fight fans and media are invited to attend the press conference for exclusive interviews with the fighters and CES Boxing founder Jimmy Burchfield Sr.
