We encourage your participation in the Library’s blogs, webinars, and online forums. The Library welcomes civil discourse, and enforces these guidelines to keep interactions respectful. The Library monitors user-generated content and reserves the right to remove or decline to publish content that violates these rules.
- All viewpoints are welcome.
- All participants must be over 13 years of age.
- No spam, advertising, campaigning for political office, lobbying, or promoting products/services.
- No repetitive or duplicate posts or AI-generated comments.
- No name calling, abusive, racist, threatening, or harassing content, personal attacks, sexually explicit materials, or use of offensive terms that target specific individuals or groups.
- No personally identifying information (like Social Security numbers, home addresses, phone numbers, or personal email addresses).
- Respect other people’s intellectual property; we follow the notice and takedown procedure for complaints of copyright violation under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Communications made through social media posts, email, webinars, and messaging systems do not constitute legal or official notice to, or official comments submitted to, the Library of Congress or any official or employee of the Library for any purpose. See the Library’s regulations for additional information on how to provide legal notice.
Repeated violations of these rules will result in the user being blocked.
