UNISIG deep hole drilling machines are engineered and manufactured in the USA for our global customer base. We offer the entire deep hole drilling system – machines, tools, and automation. We also provide technical expertise, training, and remote as well as on-site service to help maximize the value of the investments our customers have made. The UNISIG standard range of deep hole drilling machines offers productive and accurate gundrilling, BTA drilling, trepanning, skiving and roller burnishing, and machining of complex internal bores. Our milling and drilling centers allow moldmakers to perform 5-axis machining along with precision deep hole drilling in a single setup, saving valuable time. When no standard machines meet a customer’s requirements, we are able to engineer a custom solution with the same expectations of performance and service as a standard machine. UNISIG excels at integrating automation into deep hole drilling systems, from machine-mounted automation elements to robotic automation within a manufacturing cell. Our internal expertise and experience has helped customers in multiple industries optimize production efficiency by combining effective deep hole drilling with expertly integrated automation.

UNISIG recently attended the MSOE Career Fair, with MSOE alumni from our team returning to campus to connect with the next generation of engineers. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗚𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? Gundrilling is a deep hole drilling process designed to produce precise, straight holes at high depth-to-diameter ratios. Unlike a conventional twist drill, a gundrill uses a unique cutting geometry combined with high-pressure coolant to evacuate chips as the tool advances. On dedicated equipment, the process can achieve depth-to-diameter ratios of 400:1 or greater. Originally developed for manufacturing gun barrels, gundrilling is now used across industries for applications ranging from fuel system components and medical tooling to molds and other precision parts. Today is a very proud day. NextGen has been recognized by The Globe and Mail as the #67 fastest growing company in Canada, the only company from Windsor on the list and the only mold manufacturer in Canada to make the list. For me, the recognition is really about the people behind it. What this team has accomplished over the last few years has been incredible. It certainly hasn’t been a straight line. We’ve made mistakes, faced setbacks, taken risks and had plenty of difficult moments along the way. But this team has always found a way to respond. We work hard. We learn quickly. We keep pushing forward. When I started NextGen, it was with the belief that Canadian mold manufacturing could compete with anyone in the world. That meant investing in our people, investing in technology and never becoming satisfied with where we are. That mentality has not changed. To our customers, thank you for trusting us with your programs and giving us the opportunity to prove ourselves. To our suppliers and partners, thank you for supporting us through an incredible period of growth. And to our competitors, thank you for continuing to raise the bar.
