Frothy AI trends, such as tokenmaxxing, pushed many teams to the sudden realization that the check comes due for AI resources.

When companies get slapped with these growing bills for AI, they face questions about their adoption of the technology and whether it was worth the upheaval. Some organizations reportedly needed to rehire staff they let go in their zeal to adopt AI. So, what do CTOs do if the returns and outcomes from AI get overshadowed by costs?

In this episode of the InformationWeek Podcast, Ameya Kanitkar, CTO at Larridin, and Bill Vass, CTO at Booz Allen Hamilton, discuss how they approach AI strategy in the face of escalating costs.

They share insights on how significant the shift to AI has been in their strategies compared with three years ago. Have they been taking small steps or major leaps in their AI planning? They also discuss how the costs of AI have evolved and the kind of AI usage they watch more closely in response.
