New LEGO Sets for 2026 by Month
We're only a few months into 2026, but LEGO has already released a surprising number of new sets. To help you keep track of all of them, we've highlighted some of the most exciting new builds for each month below. You can also click on the header to go to our list of everything new released in that month.
New LEGO Sets for January
January was the first big month for LEGO releases in 2026. We got new sets from most of the major themes: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, Botanicals, Art, Minecraft, and Disney. Some of the most notable new releases, however, were outside of the norm. There was the Stranger Things: The Creel House set, which sold out almost instantly. We also saw the release of a new Speed Champions DeLorean set that was extremely popular due to its low price point.
New LEGO Sets for February
February was a pretty quiet month for LEGO sets with one really big exception: Pokémon. All three of the new LEGO Pokémon sets were officially released on February 27. This included Eevee, Pikachu and Poké Ball, and the massive Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise build. Outside of those new sets, LEGO also released a new Botanicals set and an adorable Golden Retriever Puppy. And while it wasn't a new release, the popular Star Trek Enterprise set became available on Amazon in February after being hard to find at the LEGO Store.
New LEGO Sets for March
March was a massive month for new LEGO releases. There were a lot of cool things coming out, but perhaps the most notable was the launch of all of the new Star Wars Smart Play sets. These were the first new builds to introduce LEGO's Smart Brick technology and were mostly targeted at kids. It was also a pretty massive month for adult builders, as we saw the release of a Lord of the Rings Sauron Helmet set, a Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time set, and a surprising Project Hail Mary collaboration. We also got some absolutely adorable Winnie the Pooh sets that are arguably the best new Disney gift available.
Last, but certainly not least, LEGO released a bunch of Batman sets ahead of the new game: LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. These new sets each come with a bonus you'll be able to redeem in the game when it comes out in may.
New LEGO Sets for April
April was a bit of a lighter month for LEGO releases, but there were still some really cool sets that came out. The most notably new release is the Mario Kart - Luigi & Mach 8 set, which is the second adult-focused Mario Kart set introduced to the theme. We also got a bunch of new Star Wars sets, including Grogu and a Darth Vader Bust. There was also a LEGO Ideas set for the TinTin rocket that came out and almost immediately went out of stock.
New LEGO Sets for May
May isn't traditionally the biggest month for new LEGO sets, but we did get some really cool builds in 2026. Most notably, there's the new LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter. This is LEGO's latest UCS model and was the big new May the Fourth set for the year. Outside of Star Wars, the new Toy Story sets were also released in May with a new pair of Slinky Dog Bookends leading that theme. The Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler also came out, highlighting the iconic vehicle from the original movie.
New LEGO Sets for June
June was the biggest month for New LEGO sets so far in 2026. We saw the release of the massive Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith set, the new Shrek sets, and even a LEGO Snoopy set. We also got new additions to bigger themes like Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Marvel. The Avenger's Helicarrier set, for example, showcases LEGO's dedication to these larger fandoms.
New LEGO Sets for July
July is a fairly slow month for new LEGO releases this year with only five new sets. All of these new sets are targeted at the 18+ crowd, however, and are surprisingly awesome. The main highlight is the LEGO Icons: Arcade Pinball Machine set which actually lets you build a working pinball machine. There's also a new addition to the Marvel theme thanks to an awesome Venom Bust set we had the chance to build.
New LEGO Sets for August
August is a big month for new adult LEGO sets this year. First up there's the massive The X-Files set that was announced last year, which is an incredible tribute to the show that came from a LEGO Ideas submission. For Nintendo fans, there's also the Donkey Kong Arcade set that actually includes rolling barrels. August brought the second round of LEGO Pokemon sets as well, including the popular LEGO Arcanine.
New LEGO Sets for September
September sees the release of 19 new LEGO sets encompassing an eclectic selection of different themes and IPs. The Doctor Doom Bust and minifigure is a really cool set leading up to Avengers: Doomsday releasing in theaters in December, and the massive Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith build is finally available to purchase at Amazon. There's also plenty of kid-friendly sets with the new SpongeBob SquarePants kits, and five new advent calendars signal the inevitable holiday season.
New LEGO Sets for October
LEGO Star Wars ships are definitely no stranger to getting recreated in brick form, and over the years we've some of the largest and most expensive sets come out of these. But the first week of October sees the releases of the Executor Super Star Destroyer build, which will be the largest set LEGO has ever produced at 6,130 pieces.
October is also a month of eclectic theme releases, from a handful of new Avengers: Doomsday sets depicting scenes from the upcoming movie, to a fun new collection of Winter holiday builds that work well as decor right in time for the season. And if you're a FIFA fan, the Spain-exclusive FIFA World Cup Trophy set is a cool recreation of the real-life thing.
And for video game fans, the brick-built PlayStation is another one of LEGO's Easter egg-filled scale models, and there are two new detailed Pokemon sets to get this month.
Biggest Upcoming LEGO Sets
There are a number of upcoming LEGO sets we already know about as well as some that have only been rumored. August saw the release of dozens of new sets like the Donkey Kong Arcade build and the impressive Hubble Space Telescope set. The Pokemon SMART Play sets are definitely cornerstone releases for the month, with plenty more themed sets joining their ever-growing catalogue.
Looking forward to September and beyond, LEGO fans can expect a handful of new sets to celebrate the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, like the Dr. Doom Bust, or even more Pokemon builds like the massive Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball.
