The production, which employs a total of about one hundred people in Finland, has received support from Business Finland and Film Tampere, which aims to produce productions in the audiovisual sector in Tampere with economic production incentives, among other things.

The budget of the film is about 4.5 million euros.

The main part Karen Gillan has starred in, among other things, the female lead in the new Jumanji films. They were among the ten most watched films in the world in 2017 and 2019. He also plays the role of Nebula in Marvel’s superhero adventures.

On Wednesday morning, Gillan published a picture on Instagram, in which she enigmatically said that she was only photographing Dual in Tampere.

Aaron Paul starred as the second protagonist in Breaking Bad, Jesse Pinkmania. He was last seen in the Westworld series.

Stearns knew almost nothing about Finland before arriving in Tampere.

“I accepted the fact: Tampere is filming and it’s clear, I’m flying there and looking for filming locations. We found them amazingly well already in the first week. ”

The architecture was different than in any part of the United States that Stearns knew.

“However, the scenery is reminiscent of Seattle or Portland.”

Stearns believes that Dual will pay attention to Finland as a filming location.

“Covid-19 brought us here, but I believe that after this production, many will wake up to Finland anyway. Where was this filmed? Where is such smooth access to describe different environments? ” Stearns ponders.

Filming in Tampere will continue until the end of November.
