Mexican Drug Lord ‘El Chapo’ Recaptured

MEXICO CITY—Mexican marines on Friday recaptured fugitive drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, whose second escape from prison in July embarrassed the government and raised questions about corruption in the country’s law enforcement.

“Mission accomplished: We got him. I would like to inform all Mexicans that Joaquín Guzmán Loera has been detained,” Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto said on his official Twitter account.
