Gen Mgtthe body of research and knowledge concerning organizations. Organization theory originally focused primarily on the organization as a unit, as opposed to organization behavior, which explored individual and group behavior within the organization. Organization behavior emerged as a separate discipline in the late 1950s and early 1960s but there remains a large amount of overlap between the two. Organization theory covers a variety of areas including organization structure and organizational psychology. -

Теория организации фирмы
Теория, в которой исследуются процессы принятия решений на уровне сложной организационной структуры. Традиционная экономическая теория рассматривает фирму как автономную единицу, стремящуюся к максимизации прибыли. В теории организации фирмы утверждается, что в крупных корпорациях решения принимаются децентрализовано, и на них влияют не только экономические мотивы: сама внутренняя организация фирмы способна влиять на процесс принятия решений. В результате этого принимаются неэффективные решения: управляющие компании довольствуются неким «удовлетворительным» уровнем прибыли, продаж и т.д. и не стремятся к максимизации прибыли (см. 20 ORGANIZATION
Организация фирмы
Организационная структура компании или государственного учреждения. Внутренняя организация компании обычно подразумевает распределение управленческих функций на несколько уровней: наверху пирамиды находится директор, далее идут управляющие высшего, среднего и низшего звена, а внизу иерархической лестницы располагаются оперативные работники, торговые специалисты, конторские служащие и т.д. Распоряжения при такой организации отдаются сверху вниз, а информация распространяется снизу вверх. Традиционная теория фирмы не учитывает тонкостей организационной структуры: фирма рассматривается как субъект экономической деятельности, который лишь выполняет распоряжения собственника фирмы. На практике организационная структура крупных компаний настолько сложна, что она сама влияет на процесс принятия решений и определение целей. См.
