Create a
Zowe
 Client Configuration File

A
Zowe
 client configuration file contains profiles which enable seamless authentication with mainframe web services. Many
Code4z
extensions support the use of a
Zowe
zosmf
 profile for authentication, which enables you to connect to the mainframe without entering your credentials each time.

Add Connections to the Mainframe

After you configure your
Zowe
 profile, do the necessary tasks for each extension that you install to enable connection to your mainframe products and web services.

Run the Debugging Demo Sessions

If you installed
Debugger for Mainframe
, you can run the
InterTest
 basic COBOL demo session on VSCode to familiarize yourself with the modern debugging workflow.
