- Download and open the app. A grown-up opens the Parents Section to choose the call options.
- Make it personal. With Premium, select your child’s name and details such as their age, favourite colour and Christmas wish. Choose a call reason and the scenes you want Santa to use.
- Start the call. Choose a video or phone-style voice call. Premium also lets you schedule an incoming call from Santa.

A Santa who knows the little things
Santa can mention a favourite colour, a Christmas wish or something your child has done well. Parents choose the details and the reason for the call, so the greeting feels familiar.
Howard Hoffman records the performances in costume, including thousands of individual names. Premium also includes video and voice calls from Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve.
Is the Santa call live?
No. Speak to Santa creates a simulated call from pre-recorded actor footage and audio. Santa follows the scenes and details selected beforehand; he is not listening and responding in a live conversation.
A few things for grown-ups
- You set the scene. Child profiles and call settings are in the Parents Section behind a parent gate. Check the selected options before handing the device to your child.
- Choose what suits your family. The app is in English. You can choose a voice call instead of video, and enjoy the experience together.
- Review recording before the call. The video-call screen has a Record Call option. Check the setting and your device’s permissions before starting.
- Know what you are downloading. The free app contains adverts; Premium removes them. Read our privacy policy and the privacy information on the App Store or Google Play for collection and sharing details.
If your child’s name is missing, you can request a name from the studio. Requests are considered for future recordings and are not guaranteed.

Can Santa make a personalized video call to my child?
Yes. With Premium, Santa says your child’s name and uses the details you choose, such as their age and Christmas wish, in a video call or a phone-style voice call. Free calls work without the name.
Is the Santa call live?
No. Every call is a simulation assembled from footage and audio recorded by actor Howard Hoffman. Santa uses the details a parent selects before the call; it is not a live two-way conversation.
Is the Santa call app free?
Free to download, with selected calls and the Santa Tracker. The free version contains adverts. Premium adds spoken names, more call options and no adverts.
Can Santa say my child’s name?
Yes, with Premium. Parents select from thousands of names recorded by the Santa actor. Check the name list inside the app before purchasing; name availability can vary. If a name is missing, you can request an addition from the studio, but additions are not guaranteed.
Can I schedule a call from Santa?
Premium includes scheduled incoming calls. A grown-up chooses the call options and timing in the Parents Section, then checks the setup before handing over the device.
Is there a Santa phone number to dial?
Speak to Santa calls happen inside the app. Download it on iPhone, iPad or Android and choose a video or phone-style voice call; you do not dial a public telephone number.
