Steffy Lashes Out at an Impatient Carter — and Katie Gives Hope Startling News
Thursday, October 1, 2026: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Zende questions Dylan, Katie and Hope discuss Brooke, and Steffy has it out with Carter.

At the cliff house, Carter is still pressuring Steffy, who tells him his plan is crazy. He’s convinced if they tell Daphne her egg has been implanted already it will work. Steffy admits she won’t be able to hide this much longer… but she doesn’t think she can go through with this. Carter grimaces.

As Carter keeps up the pressure, Steffy reminds him he’s not the one who is pregnant. He’s not the one who will feel the baby kick and then have to hand it over. Finn’s against this and left thinking the issue has been dropped. She risks alienating her husband and destroying her marriage. What is she supposed to say when he comes home and finds out?!
Carter declares this is a sacrifice they both have to make. Steffy asks what, exactly, he would be sacrificing. What about the timeline? They’ll have to say the baby came early. People will figure this out! Carter says they’ll find a doctor to help but they don’t have time to worry about details. This has to happen now!
Dropping Hints
At Forrester, Brooke’s still harping about what Katie has done to her. She hopes she doesn’t pull anymore stunts. Ridge grunts that he’s sure she’ll try. Remembering they’re not alone, Brooke asks Daphne how she’s doing… she knows she and Carter hope to have a baby.
Ridge asks if they’ve found someone to be their surrogate. Daphne flashes to Steffy saying she’ll consider it and nods… she and Carter have someone in mind. Someone very special. Ridge and Brooke ask her to tell them about her, but Daphne will only say she’s a remarkable woman.
Crossing Bridges
At Logan, super-villain music swells in the background as Katie intones, “We have to get to Zende.” She tells Hope that if Dylan wants any kind of acceptance from her, she’d better come through. Hope wonders, given Katie’s issues with the girl, if she’ll give her a fair shot even if she comes through. Katie will cross that bridge when she comes to it.
Switching gears, Hope tells Katie that her mother reached out yesterday. She said she misses her. Hope muses, “I miss her too.”
Dylan’s Mission
At the beach house, Will assures Dylan she has nothing to prove… he already knows how she feels about him. She purrs, “How do you feel about me?” and they kiss. Will lists off what he likes about her and tells her she’s beautiful and sexy. She just wants to make him happy. More kissing ensues.
When Dylan says she has to go to the office, Will apologizes for his mother; he’s going to talk to her. When he they get home, he’ll do whatever she wants. More kissing.
In Forrester’s design office, Zende studies a photo of him and Hope together on his phone and then re-reads her texts. He puts it down and agonizes. Dylan walks in and Zende huffs, guessing she’s there about Hope again. Why does she care if they talk? She says it’s important. He asks, “For you?”
The Final Scenes
Dylan keeps cajoling and Zende realizes Katie put her up to this. She thinks he owes it to himself to hear Hope out and have his say. Zende doesn’t know what he’d say to Hope and Katie.
At Logan, Katie tells Hope that the last time she saw Brooke, at Eric’s house, she begged her to move past the war, she and Donna disowned her. Brooke told her what she did was unforgivable… after she seduced and stole her husband, twice! She forgave Brooke for the unforgivable. That’s her role. But she promised herself no more: tears are wasted on her.
Katie tells Hope they’re building a legacy and does her history with her sister make their success just a little bit sweeter? “You bet your ass it does.”

At Forrester, Ridge and Brooke gush about what a good husband Carter is and what a good dad he’ll be. Daphne beams. Meanwhile, at the cliff house, Carter tells Steffy things would be worse with Finn if he found out about their night together. She’ll have to get him to understand and support the fake surrogacy. Steffy reminds Carter he’s a doctor; they can’t pull this off. Carter insists he has contacts who will help. They have to do this! “Today’s the day.” They need to tell Daphne that the embryo was transferred. “Let’s tell her you’re carrying our baby.”

<p>How fun is it that over the past two years, <em>Beyond the Gates</em> has worked to make Banneker University feel like a real place? From characters wearing Banneker’s colors to the college’s mascot — a lion — showing up routinely, it’s become something of a character in and of itself!</p>

<p><em>Bold & Beautiful’</em>s Carter and Steffy recapped their situation not once, not twice but <em>three</em> times throughout the course of one episode (Wednesday). <em>Why</em> are they standing in her living room repeatedly telling each other that they got drunk, slept together, and she’s now “pregnant with his child”? It’s information they couldn’t <em>possibly</em> forget even if they tried! The look on Steffy’s face was all of us by the time it ended. Migraine-inducing!</p>

<p>Maybe we’re just overly critical because we knew <em>Days of Our Lives</em>‘ Joy had taken muscle relaxers, but shouldn’t chief of staff Kayla have been able to tell her patient’s lethargy was medical and <em>not</em> from not getting sleep? Joy could barely string a sentence together or keep her eyes open! We’ve all had sleepless nights, and that ain’t how we act! (Is it?!?)</p>

<p>We understand <em>Days of Our Lives</em>‘ Marlena wanting to keep the “Dominic is my son” thing a secret until they can find out more, but… If Brady knows, why wouldn’t she loop Belle in? You know, the daughter who’s been doing all the investigating! Instead Marlena decided it’s better to become such an obviously stressed out mess that Belle’s worried about her! That just seems cruel.</p>

<p>Given that few <em>Young & Restless</em> fans can comprehend Chelsea being Sally’s bridesmaid, the scenes with Audra giving it to the former con artist about her lack of self-awareness were super satisfying, weren’t they? When Chelsea asked what Audra had against her, she was literally all of us when she exclaimed, “Seriously?!” Better still, when Chelsea tried to deflect by pointing out that Audra was no saint, she shut that right down and put her on notice that she would be holding a grudge. We love a loyal bestie!</p>

<p>When <em>Beyond the Gates</em>’ Bill smashed the photo of himself and Hayley, did anyone else notice that there was <em>another</em> pic behind it? Look closely, and you’ll see a red border along the bottom edge of the pic. Anybody else suspect Bill simply put a pic of himself and Hayley <em>over</em> one of someone else… most likely Dani?</p>
