Carter Throws Steffy Into the Pressure Cooker — and Dylan Reveals Katie’s Plan to [Spoiler]
Wednesday, September 30, 2026: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Zende speaks his mind, Dylan comes clean, and Carter pressures Steffy.

At the cliff house, Steffy tells Finn by phone that she loves and misses him. Carter shows up after she disconnects. She informs him that he’s not supposed to be there. He argues that Finn’s out of town and they work together.
Related Story
They start rehashing and recapping their entire situation. Steffy is pregnant with Carter’s child and it’s been torture keeping it from her husband. Carter insists he didn’t come there to upset her, and they launch into yet another recap. He tells Steffy she can give him and Daphne the child they so desperately want.
Steffy can’t see this as a beautiful twist of fate. She complains that Daphne thinks she’s agreed to be her surrogate if she’s a viable candidate. Carter intones, “You did agree.” (Actually, he was the one who said Steffy had agreed, but, hey, details). He claims it wasn’t a lie (really?!); she just happens to already know she’s viable. He paints a picture where they all move on happily and without guilt.
Brooke’s Pity Party
At Forrester, Daphne shows Brooke and Ridge the packaging for the new fragrance line. They trash Katie for a bit because she might hire Fanny. Zende joins the pity party as Brooke laments Hope defecting to Logan. Ridge grunts that they won’t allow Katie or Spencer to undermine their company ever again.
Zende doesn’t think that working with R.J. and Electra is the right career move for him. Ridge insists that they need him. They recap the whole Hope situation one more time. Zende can see what R.J. and Electra are trying to do… but they’re not the ones to do it. Brooke insists that her son is in sync with Electra. Zende muses, “The way I was in sync with Hope.”
Katie’s Demands
At the beach house, Katie sneaks up on Dylan in the outdoor shower and prudishly points out she’s wearing a bikini. Why isn’t she at Forrester getting Zende to contact Hope?
Dylan explains she already tried. Katie snips, “Try harder.” If she wants a long-term relationship with her son, she’d better come through. Katie dips when they hear Will’s motorcycle, warning Dylan to “make it happen.” Will senses Dylan is distraught. She admits it’s his mother.
Dylan tells Will that Katie asked her to do something for him. “Has she mentioned Zende to you?” Will learns that his mother has recruited her to get him to talk to Hope, and he’s not impressed. Dylan admits that she wants Katie to support them… she has to win her over. Will realizes that his mom offered to give her a chance if she gets to Zende.
At Logan, Hope’s working with a model when Katie arrives. Jasmine is dismissed and Hope reports that Deke is working as quickly as he can… but he could use some support. “He needs Zende.” Cue Katie fuming that Dylan needs to get the job done.
The Final Scenes
At Forrester, Zende says working on Electra’s line feels like a demotion. He’s back to square one taking orders from R.J. Daphne agrees, he doesn’t have the experience. Ridge, bizarrely, tells him this is what he deserves. Brooke asks Zende not to take out his frustration on R.J. and Electra… this is all Katie’s doing! Ridge turns on the charm, reminding Zende he’s family.
At Logan, Katie tells Hope that she’s sure Dylan will get Zende to reach out. She’s going to make it happen.

At the beach house, Will tells Dylan she doesn’t have to do anything she doesn’t want to do. Dylan argues that his mother needs a reason to trust her; to see that she’s worthy of him. Will says that’s crazy. He’s with her because he likes her and she’s amazing. He respects his mother’s opinion, but she needs to start respecting his. “You’re the best thing in my life.” They kiss.
At the cliff house, Carter goes on about how excited Daphne already is about Steffy being her surrogate. Steffy protests… that’s because HE sold her on the idea! Carter argues that his wife wanted a friend to be their donor. Steffy exclaims, “Not a friend who slept with her husband!” She wants this for them, but she doesn’t know if she can do what Carter is asking. He knows it’s risky, but it’s the answer. They have to move now. “We don’t have time.” They have to tell Daphne that the implantation has already happened. “We have to tell her today.”

But all along, shouldn’t he also have served as a reminder that those scars can be dealt with, given that he has nary a one left after his time in Germany?</p>

And how funny was it that Victoria had to tell her younger lover that the characters were from <em>The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show</em>, which aired from 1959 to 1964?</p>

<p>How fun is it that over the past two years, <em>Beyond the Gates</em> has worked to make Banneker University feel like a real place? From characters wearing Banneker’s colors to the college’s mascot — a lion — showing up routinely, it’s become something of a character in and of itself!</p>

<p><em>Bold & Beautiful’</em>s Carter and Steffy recapped their situation not once, not twice but <em>three</em> times throughout the course of one episode (Wednesday). <em>Why</em> are they standing in her living room repeatedly telling each other that they got drunk, slept together, and she’s now “pregnant with his child”? It’s information they couldn’t <em>possibly</em> forget even if they tried! The look on Steffy’s face was all of us by the time it ended. Migraine-inducing!</p>

<p>Maybe we’re just overly critical because we knew <em>Days of Our Lives</em>‘ Joy had taken muscle relaxers, but shouldn’t chief of staff Kayla have been able to tell her patient’s lethargy was medical and <em>not</em> from not getting sleep? Joy could barely string a sentence together or keep her eyes open! We’ve all had sleepless nights, and that ain’t how we act! (Is it?!?)</p>

<p>Any other <em>Beyond the Gates</em> viewers surprised by the apparently limited hours Orphey Gene’s is open? What kinda restaurant closes at 5 p.m., completely negating the dinner rush? No wonder so many people get takeout! (But hey, at least they’ll accept our Visa card!)</p>

<p>With <em>Bold & Beautiful’</em>s Finn away at a conference, you’d think they’d have some kind of security at the cliff house in case Sheila decided to drop in on Steffy… and yet it appears they don’t, given that Carter was able to just walk up to the door and right on in!</p>

<p>We understand <em>Days of Our Lives</em>‘ Marlena wanting to keep the “Dominic is my son” thing a secret until they can find out more, but… If Brady knows, why wouldn’t she loop Belle in? You know, the daughter who’s been doing all the investigating! Instead Marlena decided it’s better to become such an obviously stressed out mess that Belle’s worried about her! That just seems cruel.</p>

<p>Given that few <em>Young & Restless</em> fans can comprehend Chelsea being Sally’s bridesmaid, the scenes with Audra giving it to the former con artist about her lack of self-awareness were super satisfying, weren’t they? When Chelsea asked what Audra had against her, she was literally all of us when she exclaimed, “Seriously?!” Better still, when Chelsea tried to deflect by pointing out that Audra was no saint, she shut that right down and put her on notice that she would be holding a grudge. We love a loyal bestie!</p>

<p>When <em>Beyond the Gates</em>’ Bill smashed the photo of himself and Hayley, did anyone else notice that there was <em>another</em> pic behind it? Look closely, and you’ll see a red border along the bottom edge of the pic. Anybody else suspect Bill simply put a pic of himself and Hayley <em>over</em> one of someone else… most likely Dani?</p>
