All outdoor City of Salem sponsored and programmed events during that period have been cancelled in anticipation of this weather forecast. Extreme caution should be exercised throughout this weekend.

The coming storm is forecasted to be very long in duration, with the potential for gale force winds beginning on Friday, followed by significant rain from Saturday through Monday.
Ferry service has been cancelled at least through Monday.
Please take care to follow signage in order to avoid parking in low-lying areas and areas prone to flooding. Do not drive around barricades or through standing water.
