The City of Salem is currently in the midst of its Fall 2025 Residential Street Sweeping Program, which runs from Monday, November 3rd through Wednesday, December 3rd, weather permitting. Sweepers operate in each neighborhood from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Midway through the sweeping program, this notice serves as a reminder for residents about parking requirements, sweeping rules, and—most importantly—where to find the full schedule and street listings online.
Parking Restrictions
• “No Parking – Tow Zone” will be in effect on both sides of the street on your scheduled sweep day.
• Temporary orange signs will be posted in advance.
• Vehicles left on the street during sweeping hours will be ticketed and towed.
• You may return your vehicle once the sweeper has passed and the street has been cleaned.
