Mayor Dominick Pangallo released the third episode of his new podcast, Salem Compass, aimed at highlighting interesting Salem related topics in a deeper and more engaging format. New episodes will be released regularly and will be available on all major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music.

It's budget season! The City of Salem's budget is essentially a statement of the City's priorities and values. Do you know how it all comes together? The third episode of the Salem Compass features a conversation between Mayor Pangallo and Anna Freedman, City of Salem Director of Finance, and premiers today, June 12, as the City Council is voting on the budget at tonight's meeting.  Anna shares her insight as to how all the moving pieces come together, and what she sees as she looks ahead to Salem's future.

Community members should plan to tune in to future episodes planned on topics such as the off-shore wind marshalling port project, the South Salem commuter rail station, and more! Listeners are encouraged to submit questions and podcast topic suggestions by emailing mayor@salem.com.

Issues of the companion Salem Compass digital newsletter, in its third year of production, can continue to be found on the City of Salem website.  Readers can subscribe to receive newsletter issues via email.
