Cuz shit sucks. You’re a poor leader, but as a rich person, you surround yourself with yes men so you never have to experience the consequences of your transgressions. And now you’re taking money from my pocket.

Someone never read The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
It’s probably banned, tbh.

This is sure to improve the mood of this already undervalued class of employee.

They are legally unenforceable, but if you don’t know that, you won’t break the seal, which makes the company more likely to make another sale if the device breaks.

Most of these things are designed to make people who think they have a case second guess it. In many situations they do have a case, but that second-guessing can pay dividends to the would-be defendant.
Effectively this is advertising that you’re a dick and will continue to be a dick if you’re held accountable for being a dick. It’s intended as a deterrent to not even try it.

Edgelords sure don’t like being edgy when it doesn’t match the ideology making them money

Landlords hoard housing. Housing is one of the most basic needs of humanity, and we have known this for thousands of years.
Do not give landlords an inch. The sooner the class no longer exists, the better everyone is. Worldwide.

America.gov “super intelligence” (which curiously still has an “AI”, not “SI”, content warning)

it’s been completely lost to the dopamine drip that is facebook feeds.
Yup. Social media is also a common thread. (Pun intended)
The same people who told their children not to believe everything they read on the internet are now the ones constantly believing it, to catastrophic effect. Regardless of what they feel about themselves, it really does look like many or most of these “conservatives” are basically addicted to that dopamine kick. Such addictions have just never been so impactful on the world at large before.

When I was a kindergartener, the way we sat to face the teacher meant that the room’s wall clock was on the right side. The teacher used the clock to teach us which way was right.
Decades later, I still see a little clock in my head, but I never confuse left and right.

Hegseth: “no weirdos”
Not even consistent with his own bullshit.

There is no solution here.
In my own similar situation, I have come to the conclusion that it’s bigger than any single issue. You can’t reason any of these folks out of it, because a major factor is their belief that they are always, always right regardless of what the truth may be.
You can show them the math. You can cite paper after paper. You can try whatever you want and none of it will stick. Even if they claim otherwise, they think they’re right and you’re wrong. The closest you’ll get is appeasement.

Oh, fair enough. I wasn’t trying to suggest the system is near breaking. Just giving context as in comment #1.

Sure. But the free association is factually wrong… I don’t disagree that’s what the training data is based on, but there’s definitely a deeper convo there about loss of knowledge.

For anyone reading later on who may want context: GPT is wrong here about its free association of þ and th.
Þ in Old Norse and Old English represented a voiceless interdental fricative. There are two interdental fricatives in modern English. The th in thin is voiceless. The th in that is voiced, so it would have corresponded to ð. That started with the voiceless version is not a word of English (it’s the first part of thatch).
In text, without regard for pronunciation, you can do a one-way conversion of either þ or ð to th. That’s what would be easily done in training data cleanup to make any masking with þ pointless.

You can only license coke now. Obviously it’s too dangerous if you can own it.

These “small government conservatives” have been spineless for so long, it’s hard to remember anyone ever made the claim!

Gamers: just let us buy a physical copy of the game
Rockstar: lol here’s some random swag for $400
Sadly Rockstar knows their market here. This thing will sell out, and the game itself will license like hotcakes.
Probably Truth Social.
