The question is can he float the problem for that long, the current pace of AI investment simply requires more returns than are possible, something like 1/5 of the entire GDP of the united states at a minimum yearly. At some point the emperors lack of clothes will become impossible to hide no matter how much they try.

We have an AI uprising at home…

I’ve found cutting sugar bit by bit helps, limit it to weekends, cut it out of hot drinks, then limit hot drinks to 1/day in the morning since they tend to have sugar built in. Best method when starting is to remember that its far easier to exercise self control in the shop than it is once the stuff is already in your home. Now sugar is something I can take or leave rather than crave, also made me realize that there are a lot of savory foods with an objectively better taste when you don’t have that sugar craving biassing the decision.
I swear with hills too, I can be standing infront of a thousand foot slope and the camera makes it look like you could throw a rock over it.
We had 2 months of no direct sunlight and even with frequent walks I was a complete zombie, felt like this year started at March because that’s when I finally got enough vitamin D for my brain to become capable of forming longterm memories again.

Donate em to Ukraine, these things sound perfect for temporary emergency energy relief after strikes on infrastructure.

Doesn’t work when veterans have consistently and publicly been treated like shit, the army needs at least be a better option afterwards and if it’s not then not even the desperate will willingly join.

Building a relatively puny and ineffective data center because they’re idiots? perhaps. Doing it knowing it’ll provide overwhelming evidence that the idea is really dumb and making some well timed shorts against a certain launch company with an inflated value that’s been touting this very concept, maybe? (idk what I’m really talking about but it’s what comes to mind.)

Why bother? the dumbest people in the world are more than willing to hand it any resources it could want even if it means killing everyone else and eventually themselves.

No such thing as E-waste! any phone, laptop, desktop or tablet that powers on can be re-purposed for something cool or salvaged for parts. I once made a usable laptop out of 3 dead ones and it gave me another year to save up for a replacement rather than having to emergency buy something cheap and shitty.

You can also just drop the mods into the game directory without doing any of these steps first though that does mean that any conflicts or just wanting to remove a mod requires a total clean install.

He’s still unfortunately pretty good at the intelligence game, Russian money is all over american and british politics for instance.

More evidence we are in the dumbest timeline, It should be simple to physically air gap a system (I mean that’s the default for any computer) but instead the method is apparently just to give a sternly worded prompt to the entity that doesn’t even understand the meaning of language in the way humans do

Honestly I think it’s deliberate, at that point the problem isn’t who is being moved in it’s that there’s no way the existing infrastructure and services can support the population suddenly quadrupling. Easy way to manufacture a small crisis to drum up anti-immigration fervor.
Cheaper than expected given the AI bullshit, still more expensive than I could possibly afford.
High altitude airostat balloons have also been considered as a superior alternative to satellites for some applications due to lower ping and greater resistance to solar activity. Unfortunately it turns out its also harder to make a long lasting high altitude balloon with consistent positioning than it is to launch something into space.
I really hope Europe gets off its ass and both assists Ukraine more, and partners with it for defense technologies. By raw GDP even many of the Euro fish would as big or bigger than the Russian one but we have an MIC that’s almost as bloated and corrupt as the US one. We need to get more efficient with our spending and I expect partnering with Ukraine is the only realistic way for that to happen.

Nowadays that experiment has been shown to be on some pretty shaky ground, TLDR is that not all the subjects actually believed the shocks were real and even among those who did the compliance rate was not as high as advertised. Iirc the actual rate of people willing to administer the lethal shock was something like 1/4… which is still pretty high but not damning evidence about the human spirit as a whole.
You had me until the end, the american (or european for that matter to be fair) MIC would never make a weapon that’s actually cost effective.
