ને ઝાઝી ના લઈએ મન પર વાત ;

For friends with age of 50+

🚩Between the age of 55 and the time of death, it is advisable to use the money you have saved. Use it and enjoy it.
Don’t save it for those who have no idea the sacrifices you made to get it.
Remember, there is nothing more disgusting than a son or daughter-in-law coming up with great ideas to spend their hard earned savings.
🚩 Warning: This is also a bad time for investments, even if it sounds wonderful or safe. They only bring problems and worries
It’s time for you to enjoy life.
🚩Stop worrying about your children and grandchildren’s financial situation, and don’t feel bad about spending your money on yourself.
You cared for them for many years, and taught them what you can.
You gave them education, food, shelter and support.
Now it’s their responsibility to make their own money.
🚩Maintain a healthy life, without much physical effort.
Do moderate exercise (like walking every day), eat well and sleep plenty.
It’s easy to get sick at this age and it becomes harder to stay healthy.
This is why you need to stay fit and be aware of your medical and physical needs.
Stay in touch with your doctor, get medical checkups even when you think you’re feeling well.
Please take care of your health.
🚩 Always buy the best, the most beautiful items to treat yourself.
The key is to enjoy your money with your partner.
One day one of you will miss each other, and money won’t bring you any comfort; so, enjoy it together.
🚩 Don’t stress over the small things.
You’ve overcome so much in life. You have good memories and bad memories, but what matters is the present.
Don’t let the past train you and don’t let the future intimidate you. Must feel good in the present.
🚩Don’t lose sight of fashion trends for your age, but maintain your own sense of style.
You have developed your own sense of what is right for you, so keep it and be proud of yourself. It’s part of who you are.
🚩 Always stay informed: read the newspapers, follow the news.
Go online and read what people are saying.
Make sure you have an active email account and try to use some of those social media.
You’ll be surprised by the old friends you run into.
🚩 Respect the young generation and their opinions. They may not have the same ideas as you, but they are the future and they will take the world in their path. Give advice, not criticize, and try to remind them that yesterday’s wisdom still applies today.
Never use the phrase, “In our time.” “Your time is now. “As long as you are alive, you are part of the present.”
🚩Some people embrace their golden years, while others become bitter. Life is too short to waste days on sad moments. Spend your time with positive and cheerful people depends on you and your days will look much better.
🚩 Don’t stress about having to live with your kids or grandkids. Sure, being with family sounds great, but we all need our privacy too. They need theirs and you need yours
Do it alone if you feel lonely and really need help or if you really don’t want to live alone.
🚩 Don’t quit your hobbies.
If you don’t have one, make new ones.
You can travel, walk, cook, read, dance.
You can adopt a cat or a dog, grow a kitchen garden, play cards, checkers, chess, dominoes, golf, etc.
🚩 Talk to people politely and try not to complain or criticize too much, unless you really need to.
Try to accept situations as they are when you feel you can’t do anything about it.
🚩 Pain and discomfort go hand in hand with age.
Try not to insist on those wounds, but accept them as part of life.
🚩If someone has offended you, forgive them.
If you have offended someone, apologize to them.
Don’t carry negative feelings around.
It only serves to make you sad and destroy you unnecessarily. It doesn’t matter who was right.
Someone once said, “Holding a grudge is like eating poison and waiting for the other person to die.” ” “
Don’t take this poison.
Forgive, forget and move on with your life.
🚩 Laugh. Remember that you are blessed.
You have managed to live a long life.
Many never make it to this age and some never get to live a fulfilling life like yours.
My dear friends, enjoy a peaceful life at this stage of your life.. Don’t stress yourself out ..
Be happy !

With Thanks..

45 Life Lessons

45 Life Lessons to be Learned by 45

  1. In life, there are no such things as detours. Every route you pass through is the correct path to your journey.
  2. Don’t force yourself to be fine if you’re not. But have faith that you will be.
  3. Your body will tell you what it needs. No one else can hear it but you, so don’t ignore it.
  4. The only person who is allowed to hate your haircut is you. Nobody else has any business hating it.
  5. No matter how small, if it matters to you, then it matters. No one has the right to decide what should and should not matter to you.
  6. You do not have to argue about everything that you don’t agree with.  Decide your “uncompromisables”, then choose your battles.
  7. You can’t force a plant to grow, but you can provide all it needs until it does. You can’t force things, but you can lay the foundation.  So lay it well.
  8. You can do the best you can, but there are things beyond your control. Learn to discern when you need to exert more effort and when to let go and surrender (to your Maker’s plans, or to luck – whichever you believe).
  9. Trust in your process, but work hard every step of the way. You may not like where you are, or not know where you want to go, but never give yourself an excuse to do a sloppy job. Whatever is meant for you, will come to you, but you still have to earn it.
  10. Love what you are doing, but if you don’t, you have two choices: leave it; or try to live with it. Either way, you do it right, no excuses.
  11. There is no correct definition of love, but if it harms you in any way, or makes you doubt your self-worth, that is not love. Turn your back on it. Immediately.
  12. You have a choice to believe in anything you want, but any belief that drives you to hate, disrespect, or violate other people will never be right.
  13. You do not need to argue about faith (or religion). The best testament to the kind of God you worship is the kind of person you are.
  14. Only argue with the person who has read the same book you are arguing about.
  15. The world is filled with people who are willing to do the right thing in various circumstances. Do not lose faith in humanity.
  16. You don’t have to like a person to be good to him, and vice versa. You’d be surprised at how good to you people can be if you give them a chance.
  17. When people are good to you, do not take it for granted. Always find a way to show your gratitude.
  18. Generosity doesn’t have to be with material things. Be generous with your appreciation, your time, your talent, whatever you can give.
  19. If a loved one cooks for you, you eat and express gratitude, whether you like the food or not. Do not offer empty compliments, but do not disparage either. You do not know how much effort went into it.
  20. Sometimes, a gentle reminder goes a far longer way than a stern admonition.
  21. One of the greatest motivations in life is to prove to people who are willing to bet on you that they are right.
  22. Never close your mind to anything. There are always lessons to be learned and myriads of possibilities.
  23. Don’t feel guilty for satisfying your cravings.
  24. There are good days and there are bad days and there are really good days and really bad days. And you just have to take them all because that’s life.
  25. There is nothing you cannot learn if you put your heart, time & effort to it. Yes, even rocket science.
  26. Help people fix their mistake only if they acknowledge that it’s their mistake.
  27. Blaming yourself or blaming others when in a bad situation will not get you out of the situation.
  28. People are not interested in excuses. If you did something wrong or failed to do something, you apologize & focus on how to fix it.
  29. Do not offer advice unless solicited from you. People who need your advice will ask for it.
  30. When in doubt, sleep on it.
  31. Nothing in the world matters if you have a headache. If you do have one, go and have a break.
  32. Find a mantra that works for you. I have two: “it could be worse”, and “I see you.” Every time I am in a bad situation, thinking and saying that it could be worse somehow helps me go through it. Because really, there are so many things that could be worse.  When I am sad, confused, or feeling worthless, or suicidal, I imagine my Maker telling me “I see you”. Then I know I will do the right thing. Because it matters what I do. Because I matter. Because my Maker sees me.
  33. Faith does not take away your pain. But it helps you believe you will get through it.
  34. Focus. Focus on the big goal, but also focus on the tiny things. If there are hundreds of things to do, focus on something, even the smallest one, drown out everything else, do it extremely well. Then move on to the next one.
  35. All it takes to be comfortable among hundreds of people is to be comfortable with yourself.
  36. Do not underestimate the power of overpreparation. Read everything there is to know about the topic before a meeting. Practice your speech until you know it by heart – even the most beautiful message will not have an impact if you are not confident in delivering it. Overpreparation is the key to confidence.
  37. People hate long speeches. You may have a great message, but if you keep droning on and on, people are bound to zone out. Make your key points and discuss them crisply and concisely.
  38. “Be happy”, “always find things to be thankful for”, and similar phrases are not very useful advice when someone is sad or depressed. People do want to be happy. But sometimes, they don’t have a choice in the matter. “I am here if you need me” may be enough.
  39. You will forget things. You may be sharp as a tack but you are bound to forget things, sooner or later. Make a list. Get a small notebook and write all the important stuff, then hide it well.
  40. Do not expect anyone to fully understand what you feel. People can “put themselves in your shoes”, but even the most empathetic person has no capacity to fully grasp what you are going through. Your emotions are a combination of all the things, big and small, that happened to you, and no one else has gone through exactly that.
  41. Bring something to read in all your travels and appointments.
  42. Plant something at least once in your life.
  43. Sunset will always be one of the most beautiful things you will ever see.
  44. People change. Things change. Let go when you need to.
  45. Rest. Go take a breath of fresh air. Stare at nothing. Do nothing. Breathe.

Quotients

“According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve math’s, memorize things, and recall lessons.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider suicide.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road.”

Slow Down…

Slow Down?!!

I just Love Mondays. કોઈ જગ્યાએ વાંચેલું કે ‘If you really hate Mondays then you need to change your work.’

સાઉથ કોરિયન શિક્ષક હેમીન સુનીમનું એક અદભૂત પુસ્તક છે, ‘The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down.’

Are you struggling with a loss of loved one??

This is the answer …

Once, in a little pond, in the muddy water under the lily pads, there lived a little water beetle in a community of water beetles.

They lived a simple and comfortable life in the pond.

Once in a while, sadness would come to the community when one of their fellow beetles would climb the stem of a lily pad and would never be seen again. They knew when this happened; their friend was dead, gone forever.

Then, one day, one little water beetle felt an irresistible urge, a desire to follow his heart, to climb up that stem.

However, he was determined that he would not leave forever. He would come back and tell his friends what he had found at the top.

When he reached the top and climbed out of the water onto the surface of the lily pad, he was so tired, and the sun felt so warm, that he decided he must take a nap. As he slept, his body changed and when he woke up, he had turned into a beautiful blue-tailed dragonfly with broad wings and a slender body designed for flying.

So, fly he did!

In our life too, when a human finds an irresistible urge to evolve, the nature pushes them forward towards the journey of a divine human being.

Coming back to our story; as the dragon fly soared he saw the beauty of a whole new world and a far superior way of life to what he had never known existed. Then he remembered his beetle friends and how they were thinking by now he was dead.

He wanted to go back to tell them, and explain to them that he was now more alive than he had ever been before. His life had been fulfilled rather than ended. But, his new body would not go down into the water. He could not get back to tell his friends the good news.

*Realization 1*: _I can’t go back to where I come from._

*Realization 2*: _Somehow, if I go back, they will not recognize me in my new form._

Then he understood that their time would come, when they, too, would know what he now knew.

*Realization 3*: _If I hadn’t chose to give up the comfort or being a regular water beetle I would have never become a dragon fly._

Humans too have the potential to evolve, it’s a long, guided process, and the transformation is no less than magic. But are we willing to give up our comfort zone?

The dragonfly raised his wings and flew off into his joyous new life. However, he wanted to inspire his friends down below to realize their potential. And so the dragon fly hovered above the little pond every now and then hoping that someday, someone will follow their heart, leave their comfort zone, and move forward to fly into a joyous new life!

Similarly, a Master lives with us, as a living example of inspiration. He’s the dragonfly who is guiding us to follow our heart.

*Realization 4*: _Live a life of inspiration so that people around you get inspired to come up._

The Nature has beautiful lessons and realizations everywhere if we simply witness.

I was sitting on the passenger seat the other day when I noticed a person walking his dog on the sidewalk. It was a perfect evening for a walk, there was an orange pinkish sunset and a warm breeze, so it didn’t surprise me to see this man and many other people come out for a walk.

Then I noticed that this person was not even paying attention to the beautiful sunset or even to the road ahead of him. Rather, he seemed blind as though his fluffy small dog was a guide dog pulling him forward because all his attention was on a device that he was clenching with his right hand and to the sound coming from his earphones.

“Surely,” I thought “this must be the only person being careless and deliberately blind on a gorgeous evening like this” but as the car swarmed past, I spotted many other people doing the same. All glued to their phones as they were walking to their destination.

From that day on, I started to notice more and more people doing the same, they are either too engrossed in whatever they are doing with their phones, listening to music, or talking to someone they are with.

Clearly, when people are out for a walk, they are doing much more than that and that is what puts their lives at risk in America’s extremely busy streets.

I for one, have caught myself using my phone while walking to check my email or to reply to a text and I am sure some of you or someone you know is guilty too guilty of doing so. We do this without giving it a second thought of the danger that it places us in.

Statistics

In fact, according to an article by Jeff Grabmeir from The Ohio State University called Distracted Walking: Injuries Soar for Pedestrians on Phones “more than 1,500 pedestrians were estimated to be treated in the emergency room in 2010 from injuries related to using a cell phone while walking.”

And as the article stated the number of injuries doubled in 2005 and 2010, a time when social media was just emerging. There is no doubt that that numbers since then have doubled or even tripled.

What is the problem?

More and more people walk the streets with their heads down instead of staying alert these days. The number of injuries involving this kind of risky behavior has recently skyrocketed to the point that the National Safety Council called it a significant safety threat to citizens in 2015.

People are more distracted than they have ever been with all the technological devices that have come to existence along with social media. These devices clearly pose a greater threat that can possibly outweigh their intentional good use.

For years and years now, we have heard of countless accidents that have occurred due to people using their devices as they drive. People have died and sometimes they got lucky and survived with merely a few scratches but unfortunately, that is not what happens in most cases, sometimes people even end up killing pedestrians on the street.

However, much of our attention has been there, we have that clear picture in our head of a driver using their phone as they drive but actually pedestrians use more of their phones as they walk. The reason this issue does not get as much attention as texting while driving is because people do not believe that they have this issue.

According to a study conducted by The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2015 out of the 78% of Americans that believe that distracted walking is a “serious” issue three quarter say it is an issue that other people have but not them.

How does the problem affect us?

Most people will say that that is not them, that they see others walk distractedly but not them because they only use their phones indoors. What they don’t realize is that that is precisely what they are doing eat home in the comfort of their house.

The National Safety Council stated that 52% of distracted walking injuries involving a cell phone occurred at home.

Some of the injuries could be minor such as scratches or bruises but a study about the injuries associated with cellphones concluded that about 18% included internal organ injuries.

These types of injures can be detrimental to health and can cost thousands of dollars.

What is the solution?

We need to become aware of how big this issue is so that we can stop this risky behavior. Especially when it comes to children because they learn from the behavior of others.

In the U.S there are now cities that have reinforced no cellphone use while walking law and many more will probably follow soon.

There are a few simple steps that we can follow to minimize the risk of getting into an accident because of distracted walking.

How can we participate in the solution?Never walk while texting or talking on the phoneIf you must text, move out of the way of others and stop on the sidewalkWhen walking, make sure you do not have headphones in your earsBe aware of your surroundingsAlways walk on the sidewalk if one is available; if you must walk on the street, face oncoming trafficLook left, right, then left again before crossing the streetCross only at crosswalksWhat will happen if we do participate in the solution?

Distracted walking can lead you or your loved ones to get into accidents that can cause more than just a bruise, it could lead to hospitalization that can be very costly.

What will happen if we don’t participate in the solution?

But if you take these simple precautions, you can avoid unnecessary injuries and can serve as a role model to the new generation whose lives will revolve around distracting devices that can lead to extremely serious injuries.

Don’t be like the man who walks blindly on a beautiful sunset, rather put your phone away, take a deep breath, and enjoy your walk. You will do yourself a big favor by being in the moment and avoiding any distractions.
