“Training and Education are at the heart of advancing clinical excellence in prevention and care. In the rapidly evolving field of cardio-renal-metabolic diseases and their interplay with chronic disease more widely, high-quality education is essential to translating evidence into effective prevention, early detection and treatment.

Our education pathway is designed to support learners at every stage – from accessible CPD-accredited modules and introductory taster courses, to masterclasses and a portfolio of University postgraduate programmes. By fostering a culture of continuous learning, we ensure that advances in research are transformed into real-world patient-centred care that improves outcomes and drives system-wide impact.”

Testimonials

"The Cardiac Rehabilitation in Ireland course is extremely important at raising awareness of the challenging situation cardiac rehab is in in Ireland presently, and a very important course to take if working in the area. The course has given me a much greater knowledge and understanding about the complexities of cardiac rehab. I loved the mix of modules and learning; it was very worthwhile and nice that it can be done at each participants own pace."
"I undertook the Physical Activity Behaviour Change course and the content was very practical and relevant to my case load. You could implement learning into practise straight away which really helps to consolidate the learning. The learning resources from it are excellent. A really well thought out and delivered course."
"The Obesity Management course covers a huge variety of topics that are very informative and relevant. Plenty of food for thought. I find I have people coming in every day that are discussing their weight, and I feel better prepared for the conversation now, and I am more in tune to what patients are saying, even when they are not saying that much."
"I highly recommend the Demystifying the ECG workshop, so relevant to GPN work. The in-depth teaching of the ECG was very clear and understandable and focused on the specific parts of the ECG patterns that help you recognise them. I have always found ECG's intimidating but definitely feel more confident at looking at them after this course. Excellent course and amazing instructor."
"My knowledge has greatly increased due to the Integrated Approach to Cardiometabolic Chronic Disease course, and I love the way you can do the modules at your own pace over 3 months. Case studies, up to date guidelines and how to practically use them were so informative and extremely relevant to my working day."
"I moved from Cath lab to CNS in HF a year ago and the Advances in Heart Failure course has really educated me on many aspects of the care and management of Heart Failure patients. Thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks to NIPC for this course and to all those who provided their time, clinical expertise and knowledge on this wonderful online course."
"I completed the Chronic Kidney Disease and CVD course with NIPC and it has changed my thinking when looking at a patient’s chart. I gained huge knowledge on appropriate drugs, perspectives of renal management in primary and secondary care and support services to direct patient and families to. Very informative- fabulous course and loved I could do it in my own time. Well done to all. Great insights from everyone. I hope it comes on the CDM programme soon."
