Yesterday, I attended my 3rd Industry Board Meeting as an Advisory Board Member to one of Pakistan's top CS universities. Here, top IT industry leaders from across the country attended this session, to discuss possible directions for the next-generation of students, amidst AI and all upcoming technologies. Being one of the few companies here working in Silicon Valley, Grayhat had a lot to say. We discussed: World models, robotics, and more. My recommendation: - All degrees should go back to their fundamentals - theory should be emphasized more - Replace programming courses (like React/Web dev courses) with programming-structure building courses - Let students create their own frameworks, harnesses, and more. - Allow interdisciplinary studies - elective courses should be: CS + CE, CS + SE, CS + EE, CS + ME (allow them to study theoretical/core knowledge from various degrees, allow mixed projects) - Encourage students to go to business centers in the country like: Sialkot, Gujranwala, Lahore etc and work with local industries, deploy local models (Chinese open source models + Chinese hardware) in local industries I've consistently been the youngest member in this committee for the past 3 years (starting off at the age of 24). Hello world. Its been a while since I posted so i thought I'd drop one on what we're building. We've been working on Disjoint, a multiplayer space where you can hang out, mess around, and yeah, chase each other around the space throwing cans. Currently runs inside any Discord server as an activity and super easy to setup I was recently working on adding in AI NPCs to Disjoint and i'd say its been pretty fun both working on it and the interactions with the Agents themselves xD (still in dev so expect some glitches :P) Here's a clip is from a session where things got a bit competitive.
