Projects

Each project gets its own write-up with the images, the process, and what I actually learned from it.

Project 0 Becoming Friends with Your Camera

Perspective, focal length, and the center of projection — selfies done wrong and right, compressed architecture, and a hand-made dolly zoom.

Aligning glass-plate negatives from the Russian Empire into full-colour photographs, with NCC, L2 and a coarse-to-fine image pyramid.

Read the write-up → Project 2 Fun with Filters and Frequencies

Convolution from scratch, edge detection, sharpening, hybrid images, and seamless multiresolution blending.

Project 3 (Auto)stitching and Photo Mosaics

Homographies, feature matching, and panoramas that actually line up.

Project 4 Neural Radiance Fields

Fitting a 3D scene representation from a handful of 2D views.
