EU Academy – Training and Learning Resources

The EU Academy is the European Commission's online learning platform, offering free, self-paced e-learning courses developed by subject-matter experts and aligned with EU policy priorities.

As part of the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation (EUKH), a growing selection of interactive courses is being developed for the platform, bringing together the scientific knowledge and practical experience of the EUKH community of practitioners, researchers and policymakers.

These courses aim to strengthen knowledge and professional skills in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE), making evidence-based learning accessible to professionals across different sectors and levels of experience.

Evidence-based, Interactive and Accessible Learning

EUKH courses on the EU Academy are designed to be self-paced, evidence-based and inclusive, allowing participants to learn independently and at their own pace.

Course content draws on scientific research, relevant literature and the practical insights of experts from across the EUKH community. Developed in collaboration with subject-matter experts and instructional design specialists, the courses combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

Interactive elements such as case studies, scenarios, quizzes, matching exercises and self-evaluations help learners engage with the material and apply their knowledge to real-world contexts.

Courses are designed to remain relevant as knowledge and practice evolve and can be updated to reflect new evidence and developments in the field. Some also build on the results of EUKH project-based collaborations, making their findings and insights accessible to a wider P/CVE community.

Flexible Learning Resources for the P/CVE Community

The EU Academy courses provide flexible learning opportunities for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, civil society organisations and other professionals working in the field of P/CVE.

Courses can be completed independently or used as complementary resources in facilitated learning activities. Their modular structure also allows learners to focus on specific areas of knowledge relevant to their professional interests and responsibilities.

By providing accessible and practical learning materials, the EUKH aims to support continuous professional development, encourage knowledge-sharing and strengthen evidence-based approaches to preventing radicalisation and violent extremism.
