Unipept Visualizations is a collection of visualizations that were originally developed for the Unipept project, but that have been isolated from the project and that can be easily reused in other environments. The package offers 5 different visualizations at this point: a treeview, a treemap, a sunburst, a heatmap and a barplot. All configuration options are documented on the pages linked below, and every visualization can be tried out on the live examples site. This documentation is intended to be used with version 2.0 of this package (or higher). For the old documentation (v1.7.x and below), please follow this link.
This package already exists for quite some time now and has been completely modernised over the last year. Please check the version history on the release page of this package for a changelog that accompanies every new version of the package.
- A browser that can load ES modules.
NOTE: D3 does not have to be loaded separately. The package is built on D3 v7, but D3 is bundled into dist/unipept-visualizations.js, so importing this package is enough. The example pages in the repository do load D3 from a CDN, but only because the example code itself calls d3.json() to fetch its data.
NOTE: Version 1.7.x and lower of this package required jQuery in order to work. This dependency is no longer required since version 2.0.
