Important
This project has been modernized and rewritten for current Linux systems. The latest version is faster, cleaner, safer, and more maintainable than the earlier script.
PACKSCRIPT is a Bash-based setup tool that helps you install development tools, system utilities, optional apps, and security tools in a quick and structured way.
It supports multiple popular Linux distributions and is designed to simplify post-installation setup after formatting or rebuilding a machine.
The current version includes:
- better Bash structure and strict error handling;
- centralized package-manager logic;
- cleaner distro detection;
- support for current Linux distributions;
- improved installation flow for common apps;
- optional installation of Google Chrome and Spotify;
- Android/Termux support with Nethunter option;
- better messages, warnings, and finish status.

The older script had repeated blocks and fragile logic due to copy-paste patterns across multiple distro branches. The new version solves that by:
- centralizing package installation logic;
- keeping distro-specific logic in a single place;
- reducing shell syntax errors;
- improving maintainability;
- adding support for modern package managers and newer Linux versions.
The scripts are validated with Bash syntax checking:
bash -n script.sh hacking/script2.sh hacking/script3.shThis ensures the shell scripts are syntactically valid before execution.
