Hi, I'm Craig Brinck — a registered structural engineer with 19 years of experience using finite element analysis on heavy industrial, commercial, and government projects. Before engineering, I started out as a computer science major, so building Pynite lets me do both things I love at once.
Pynite has grown from a personal side project into a tool downloaded hundreds of thousands of times a month by engineers and developers around the world. Getting it here took years of nights and weekends, and I plan to keep developing it for years to come.
Right now, all of that work happens in my free time, squeezed in around a full engineering career. Sponsorship is what lets me trade some of that "free time" for real time — time to fix bugs faster, review pull requests, write documentation, and build the features people are actually asking for.
You don't need to sponsor much to make a difference. If 1% of Pynite's monthly downloads became $1 sponsors, it would change what's possible for this project. Every dollar adds up, and every sponsor — no matter the amount — tells me this tool is worth investing more of my time in.
If Pynite has saved you time, solved a problem, or made your project possible, consider sponsoring its development. And if there's a specific feature you'd love to see, sponsorship is one of the best ways to help make it a priority.
Thank you for using Pynite — and for considering helping it grow.
