A production-grade double-entry payment ledger in Go. Double entry enforced in Go types and by a Postgres CHECK constraint. Atomic posting sits under SERIALIZABLE isolation with ordered row locks. Retries idempotent against an append-only audit log. One trace runs HTTP through gRPC to SQL via OpenTelemetry, structured slog, and Prometheus RED metrics. Companion book, The Ledger Book, edits the whole build into one volume with senior-engineer interview Q&A, a chapter a week.

Rebuilt the gateway from five payment methods to eight: card, wallet, bank transfer, QR, BNPL, Shariah-compliant BNPL, VISA IPP. Pluggable adapters per method over an event-driven core on AWS ECS with auto-scaling. Introduced full RED observability where there was none, and shipped a self-service merchant portal for reports and settings. Public surfaces: moby.my, docs.mobypay.my, iOS and Android apps.
