Summary

  • Fix false resolvable!=expected failures on LB amphora serial OTE runs (seen on periodic edc5d1: shell expected=1 while rescue correctly counted 3/6 from the filtered list, with 0 test failures).
  • Pre-count expected from list_of_tests_to_run.txt before the serial loop (same approach as serial coda); stop incrementing in-loop under /bin/sh.
  • In rescue, hard-fail when resolvable != expected so block/rescue cannot soft-recover a real incomplete/inflated resolve after only marking UNSTABLE.

Test plan

  • Warm TP on serval71 with PR Depends-On: amphora isolated + sourceip stages should pass the serial gate when tests pass/skip (no expected=1 false fail)
  • Confirm ote serial counts shows expected equal to nonempty lines in list_of_tests_to_run.txt
  • Confirm a deliberate list/log mismatch still fails rescue with the new hard-fail message (not soft-recovered)

Made with Cursor

In-loop expected++ under the OTE serial shell stays at 1 and false-fails
resolvable!=expected after clean amphora runs (nightly edc5d1). Pre-count
from the filtered list like serial coda. Also fail in rescue when
resolvable!=expected so block/rescue cannot soft-recover a real mismatch.
