@esc, It's rendering correctly only part of the time 🙈. Sometimes it renders correctly, sometimes it returns random HTTP errors like the one shown below.
It's coming from a GitHub domain, so maybe it's just their service being flaky 🤷. But, I did compare this fix with the current main branch and noticed that at least the badge renders correctly 50% of the time, which is an improvement from 0% 😂 |

I searched on the web and one suggestion seems to be that the URL is case-sensitive?? Can you try this?

Yes, so please use lowercase doi and then use the link provided to cite all versions.
