I'd prefer something like:

const { Serializer: _Serializer, Deserializer: _Deserializer } = process.binding('serdes');
// ...

class Serializer extends _Serializer { }
class Deserializer extends _Deserializer { }

Should likely also add a note to the documentation clarifying the requirement
