I think this could be fixable by upgrading the version of node-pre-gyp in package.json as seen here mapbox/node-pre-gyp#346

I have updated all direct dependencies in #1519
I would rather prefer not to mess with transistive dependencies for now, but rather wait till those dependencies have updates themselves.
